Rush Limbaugh joins Twitter
(CNN) – Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host who launched a firestorm earlier this month by calling a law student derogatory terms, joined Twitter Thursday.
Tweeting at the handle @Limbaugh, the host began his foray into the social networking site by sending out links to articles criticizing the liberal group Media Matters.

“Good story by @jeff_poor @DailyCaller. He gets it right, @mmfa wrong as usual. Read and Retweet.” The message linked to an article at the conservative website The Daily Caller.
On his radio program Thursday, Limbaugh explained his decision to start using his Twitter account.
“I've decided to actually activate it now and use it for strategic purposes since it has become such an effective means of informing people outside the bounds of this program,” Limbaugh explained.
He said the “retweet” function, which allows users to post another person’s message with one click, had the potential for “saturating the ‘Twitterverse.’”
One thing he won’t divulge on Twitter, however, are his meals.
“I'm not gonna be hanging on Twitter fifteen hours a day and tweeting, ‘I just had breakfast! I hope you have a wonderful day! Bye! Here's a picture of me eating some corn flakes!’ None of that stuff. You don't need to be worrying about that. No, it's just things I want people to see.”
As of Thursday evening, Limbaugh had amassed over 100,000 followers on the site.
Earlier this month Limbaugh generated a swirl of controversy after calling a law student who testified at a Democratic hearing on Capitol Hill a "slut" and a "prostitute." He later apologized to the student, but some of his advertisers and stations airing his program were quick to drop their support.

Slimebaugh is trying anything and everything to get people to listen to his putrid BS. It's called "Panic"..please i need the attention!!"..A massive coronary would be welcom attention to this poor excuse of a carbon based life form.

How typical. First tweet: something positive for the country? nope. Something suggesting a better alternative than liberal policies? Not a chance. Criticize someone? BINGO.

He's made tweets in the past, back when Sarah Palin first started her tweeting. He wasn't very good at expressing himself.
Rush, the entertainer, is laughing all the way to the bank because his snake oil sales pitch is selling so well to conservative extremists in the GOP/Tea Party.
ok so NOW all of a sudden Limbaugh decides he wants to join TWITTER that "socialist" media. Just like many others of his ilk Limbaugh blames everybody BUT himself for his current situation. It's the White House, the "evil left wing media", the Democrats, even some moderate Republicans according to Rush that caused him to lie about Ms. Fluke and cause the current uproar. He claims he isn't worried about all this, but he is showing signs of being shall we say somewhat concerned.
Rush was VERY slow to get a website. I suppose, once he got one he realized how helpful i9t would be.
NOW, he"s equally slow to tweet but this time he's just in time to add another source of rejection and hatred for his vile persona.

That makes perfest sense. A twit on Trwitter. Let's give someone who has a problem spewing venom more of a media outlet. Bill Mahr, Rush Limbaugh and their like is the main reason this country is sinking to new lows.

I guess he has lots of time on his now....crickets, crickets, cickets...
And the destruction of the Grand Old Party is almost complete. Any Republican politician that wants a future in this country, would be better served coming out against this guy, and everything he says.
This is what happens when you lose all the sponsors of your radio show and have no money to stay on the radio. Got to spread the venom some way.

Rush is trying to get attention from the younger generation? The ones that are the most against his belief system? He really is desparate.
Perhaps Chumpbaugh will use Twitter to make a living when his show gets cancelled.
