Mitt Romney thinks the economy is improving

(CNN) - That might come as a shock if you've heard the candidate's stump speech. But it's true.

Romney met with voters Monday in Springfield, Ill., on President Obama's home turf, and made clear that he is not a member of the second-recession doomsday crowd.

OMG!!!! You idiot! The economy would have done better if your party of losers would have been more intent in fixing the economy than in making sure the President was a one term president!
Debt ceiling fiasco, downgrading the US economically, continuing to support not taxing then rich more while making the middle class carry the weight.
Of course, if it had been up to you your own state, where the tres are the right height, would have completely collapsed and the millions who still have jobs should be living in tents. The Dow is up, my 401k seems to be finally recovering from the downfall thanks to the village idiot from Texas. Then again, you wouldn't Knossos since you cause manynto lose their jobs here in the US while taking their jobs overseas.

Gee, every place else Romney goes, he laments about how Pres. Obama has "made things worse." Remember flip-flop uproar last fall when Mitt Romney was seen in video clips of stump speeches saying, "Obama has made things worse." Remember how Romney tried to backpedal away to the point where flatly denied ever having made the remarks? Let's see how long it will take for his next stump speech to regress back to, "made things worse." [try tomorrow on for size]

Overall? It may be getting better thanks to Obama.
Where I live? It's terrible. The unemployment rate is higher than the state average and the national average.

And after 3 years of blaming the president for the state of the economy, I wonder if he'll have the cojones to lay the economy's improvement at Obama's feet also?

I highly doubt it. Mitt's got more flip-flops than Charlie Parker's pancakes.

"The problem is this [recession] has been deeper than it needed to be, and a slower recovery than it should have been, by virtue of the policies of this president,"
Unh-huh. So let's just assume for a minute that what you're NOW saying is true, don't you think that you GOPeeing teatards and the rest of the Republican Party sitting on the sidelines playing pocket-pool doing absolutely NOTHING to help in the recovery, but instead spending payroll time placing internal bets on how long it would take to make this President fail, obstructing everything under the sun including things you used to be for, putting up roadblocks to confirmations of key personnel, blocking the ratifications of treaties that would've jeopardized our national security, promising then reneging on getting jobs for Americans, and spreading lies, fear and misinformation on everything that was being done to aid the recovery, you think none of those things could've possibly hindered our country bouncing back a little quicker?
One of the reasons Obama is going to get re-elected is because he was the ONLY ONE we saw working to fix the mess we were in, while your guys were praying to your gods that the country went completely under.
    gtfooh Mittens. You're a joke.
    Obama 2012. Seriously America.

The economy is improving but that is like saying we have cured your cancer but you still need a heart transplant and liver transplant – long way to go! The real question and perhaps the simplest and best way to solve the issue is to ask a cross section of Anerica if they are better off today than they were three years ago – my answer is no, guessing I will be in the majority.

Just imagine how much better our economy would be if the worthless republicans had tried to work with our president instead of ruining our country so they could win the white house.

Yes the economy is improving Mr. Romney, then there is no vacancy for the job you are applying for. Nothing to do there. Everything is taking care of, even to make it better than it looks now.

if the economy were NOT improving in fact doing far worse than 2009, then of course it would all be Obama's fault. The economy is improving and things are looking better so of course Obama had NOTHING to do with it. Typical GOP talking point since Jan 21, 2009. Thing is now though more Americans are NOT falling for it. Only the pure Obama-haters still are and that is because they see things the way want to see it through the FoxNews prism.

  15. Honest Abe

The economy has been growing... but too slowly. Romney stated the true... and yet, there are the kooks on the left that hammer him for it. Just think, had Romney been in the White House, the economy would probably be stronger.... it still has a long way to go.

(As much as liberals hated to say it, the economy under BUSH had 5 straight years of growth and unemployment under 5.3%).

Recall these words Willard? "President Obama didn't cause the recession, but he made it worse." You are so full of manure. If we would have taken your advice back in 2008 regarding the auto bailout, we'd be in alot worse shape. Take your flawed leadership and shove it.

Nice try Abe, but you see, there's this thingy called "the internets" that makes it possible to debunk your lies with a few clicks of a mouse: Unemployment was at 4% the last year of President Clinton's second term, and was 7.7% at the end of your boy's second term. Granted, it did go higher during President Obama's term, but anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together were not under the delusion that jobs would just suddenly bounce back to where they were when your boy took office is too dumb to vote! Additionally, there have been more jobs created under President Obama during his first 3 years in office than your boy's entire 8-year reign of error.

Thank you Romney…not make sure to stay far away from it and keep on doing so until your concession speech in November.

Wow, bad sentence structure. Let's try again:

..but anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together was not under the delusion that jobs would just suddenly bounce back to where they were when your boy took office. Anyone who IS under such delusions is too dumb to vote!

Recall these words Willard? "President Obama didn't cause the recession, but he made it worse."
Obama has been his own worst enemy. It purely his own choice in 2009 to spent $800 billion to create ( using Nancy Pelosi's exact words, ) " Jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs!". This was against stiff opposition from the Republicans, but Obama fought hard to convince everyone in America that spending $800 billion would create 4 million jobs. What happened? Unemployment kept going up for 2 years until the mid-term elections it was over 10%. That was Obama's baby then. He claimed ownership with his lofty promises. Of course, very soon after he fired his whole team of Economic Advisers. But that was about 2 trillion federal tax dollars too late. The other problem is he is still on Plan A. It makes no sense.
