Video: RNC chair weighs in on Santorum remark
(CNN) - Reince Priebus responded Tuesday to the controversy over Santorum's statement that he "doesn't care about the unemployment rate."
"I think that Rick Santorum's right," Priebus said on CNN's "Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien."
"This election is about big things. It's about liberty and freedom and we've got the two-year anniversary of Obamacare that's coming. This is another promise that Barack Obama made that prices would go down and access would go up, and in reality we all know that actually prices are going up, companies are taking waivers that Obamacare isn't what everyone thought it would be, in fact it's the opposite."

You know, the unemployed don't care about Obamacare! They don't care about contraceptives! They don't care about your values or anything like that...All they care about is getting a job and if your campaigns are centered around all this other stuff, then you can kiss Obama right back into the White House. Have you checked to see how many are unemployed lately? Looks like a big voting block to me....
It's sort of amazing (but not surprising) that this creep's idea of "freedom" is legislating his narrow and twisted "morals" into law to oppress the entire nation with his government intrusion into all our lives.
Way to spin it to Obamacare that has noting to do with unemployment. Rick is a democrat because everytime these guys open their mouth their foot just goes right in .
Bigger things than unemployment? Wow. They are really going to find it hard to "sell" people on the idea that they should vote for a GOPer because of social issues rather than I dont know...having a job and putting food on the table. Yes, debating abortion, contraception and anything else is such a worthy use of our time.....(eyes rolling).
No, it's much worse than everyone thought it would be. Obamacare is, in reality, like totalitarian regime care. Remember, a lot of people were not for Obamacare. If it weren't for bribes it would not have passed. If the Supreme Court lets it stand it will be another nail in the coffin of liberty. "Two nations (the workers and the freeloaders), not under God, divided, no liberty, and no justice for all." Is anyone pledging allegiance?
Once again you have Priebus misstating facts. I swear that guy rubs me the wrong way. And the RNC got rid of Michael Steele for this clown?!?!?

Reince Priebus says that Obama hasn't kept his "promise" to make prices go down but this piece of work pretends at the same time to want government out of the economy. Preibus would be in trouble with selling a completely conflictijng message but for his audience.
Romney doesn't care about the poor; Santorum doesn't care about the unemployed. Yet, if the unemployment figures go up or stay the same, they pounce on Obama. what a bunch of dueling idiots.

Preibus is spinning a history rewrite. Throughout the Bush years we saw a relentless increase in health care costs and a corresponding rise in health insurance costs. During the health care debate, insurers predicted that insurance would skyrocket. After the law was passed, insurers fulfilled their own prophecy and tried to raise rates by as much as 40-60% in some cases. The new health care law was used to stopped insurers from imposing those exorbitant increases.

This is the reason that President Obama is leading all the GOP field in national polls. In all honesty, the RNC Chairman means to tell contraception, fighting for the rich to pay no taxes, and getting all Puerto Ricans to stop speaking spanish is more important than providing well paid jobs to Americans.....(Shaking my head while walking away)

What else can Reince Priebus say? Could he really come out and say that Rick Santorum's comment that he "doesn't care about the unemployment rate" was unwise? As RNC Chair, he is not allowed to throw any of our candidates under the bus – no matter how ridiculous some of the statements that they make are.
More ducking and dodging by Republicans. Two years ago it was 10% unemployment is going to sink POTUS. Now...the unemployment rate doesn't matter. And what's worse is that the Republican party by in large doesn't realize that they are being "had" by their leaders.
Hey who didn't know that the repubs didn't care about jobs, hell they allow 8 million of them to go down the drain the year Obama took office, they've blocked rebuilding infrastructure, they've blocked almost every thing this president tries to do to improve the economy. They've pushed against allowing the American automobile to have more gas mileage, they've blocked the keystone oil pipeline to deliver oil in America. Their is not one policy these repubs pubs are pushing that would work, their pushing money to the rich and deregulate large corporations to unleash their greed on volunable Americans, have failed time and time again, yet they keep pushing their trickle down theoryies

Republicans admitting they do not care about people without jobs. I am shocked, shocked I say, to find out this previously hidden gem. I know it is a big surprise to everyone else as well.
Lets add that to the list of things Republicans don't care about. Women, public educastion, minorities, the homeless, the handicapped, the poor, the middle class (except during an election year), the elderly and American workers.
What do they care about? Their wallets, other really rich people (except for Warren Buffett)----Dang, that is about it, isn't it.
and if President Obama had said the SAME thing I bet the house money Priebus would be slamming him and on the attack. Just think if Obama had said something like' he wasn't concerned about the poor" good ol' Priebus would be attacking him on that as well. But what do you expect of a guy with a name like Reince Priebus?? Has anybody checked his birth certificate by the way yet?

Nobody expected him to pass the Republican-corporatist mandate plan with hopes of bipartisanship. UGH!
The Democrats offer liberty and freedom and the GOP want to destroy our civil liberties and personal rights.
What is this serious? So what is the GOP's point against Obama, just religious freedom and Obamacare? Also ask there base whether they care about people being out of work!
