As Santorum shoots at gun range, woman suggests targeting Obama
(CNN) – Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum was firing at a gun range in West Monroe, LA when an onlooker suggested he imagine the silhouette target was more literal.
"Pretend it's Obama," she said, as Santorum fired several shots.

But the candidate was wearing ear protection at the time, and the woman appeared to be standing far behind him so he was quite possibly out of earshot. Pressed on the remarks by reporters, he seemed not to have heard her comments.
"It's absurd. No, we're not pretending it's anybody," he said, shaking his head. "We're shooting pistols and, you know, very horrible, terrible remark and I'm glad I didn't hear it."

So a Democrat confronts Cheney at an event and gets arrested. A Republican suggests aiming target practice at the president and she walks away.

David Midwest Guy, sorry, but it IS news. Its news because of what was suggested. I remember a similar remark being made by a man at Rep. Braun's (R-GA) town hall meeting last year( " When do we kill Obama?"). Braun chuckled, and alter claimed he was so surprised by the comment he did not know what to do: sure, cow excrement. The righties have been living, breathing and sleeping this kind of hate for more than 3 years. At least Santorum disavowed it, this time.
