Group opposed to health care law delivers petitions to Congress

Washington (CNN) – The conservative activist group FreedomWorks delivered to ranking congressional Democrats what it said are tens of thousands of pages of a petition signed by people opposed to the Affordable Care Act.

The signature health care reform plan from the Obama administration was enacted two years ago Friday, and next week faces a challenge in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Outside the high court Friday morning, about a dozen demonstrators congregated with two carts of boxes they said contained a petition with more than 100,000 signatures. Each took a large stack of the documents out of the boxes and entered nearby Senate and House office buildings to deliver the papers to Democratic leadership.

Spokesman Dean Clancy said their effort is part of a campaign to fight the law at congressional, judicial and constituent levels.

Neither Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, nor House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi were at their offices to receive the demonstrators, and staff declined to meet with them.

100,000 signatures. Wow, who would have thought there were that many idiots with access to the Kochs? I think I will stay with the 175 million people who want and need affordable care.

Ed1 – That is not correct, but is a talking point of Fox foreign owned media with a hint of Saudi.

Mikey - @Truth – Why would the President spread lies the ACA? That appears to be your job.

Little Mikey, you're babbling a bit here. Please wipe the mashed peas from your mouth and rephrase this. And while you're at it, explain exactly what I am lying about? Can you compose a complete sensible sentence?

Obama can make the claim that each state has a law sayint that you have to have car insurance in order to get drivers license. I don't know of any state that you don't have to buy car insurance. All fifity states have these law. Now if he brought that claim up the Insurance would not make no money. It is true that most people drop there insurance after that get the license they need. Even if it is a one time exchange the insurance company has made money off of you. If I was Obama I would tell Romney to lets draw Unemployemt, Social Security, Food stamps, army checks of off his bank accoount then he could save the Government some many. Obama should ask Mitt Romney to take care of those that receive Medicaid.

@ Mikey. You have to understand that anybody with the same mentality as @Truth listens to too much Limbaugh or watches too much FOX NOISE and then these types feel like pompous wannabe professors when they blog here. Valentina is like that, too, if you ever noticed.

Truth and Nothing But the Truth writes: Losing my healthcare is NOT in my best interest. 20 MILLION people may lose theirs because of Obamacare.
    ---------------------------------------------------–
Any proof of that, Truth or are you parroting Fox "News"? Your dollars do pay when patients can't. First they are dunned for the money, but when it is apparent they cannot pay or that suing them will be fruitless, YOUR insurance company will raise their rates to cover their losses. Surprise!

I hope you do realize that conservative politicians fought to allow for that back in the 1990s because they saw illegals as a source of cheap, union busting labor. Liberals had fought against making it easier for illegals to come into this country for just that reason, they would take jobs away from middle class union workers.

"Why isn't Obama and Biden out there explaining to the American people that the cost of Obamacare has already doubled and the disaster is not yet fully implemented?"

Because that, quite literally, is not even close to what the newest CBO report really shows. Rather, it's yet again another instance of the GOP/Teatrolls cherry picking a tiny portion of the story/study in order to spin it in a manner that misinforms as many people as possible among their ready-to-believe-anything base.

"Why isn't Obama and Biden out there explaining to the American people that 3-20 MILLION could lose the healthcare they currently have?"

Because that, yet again, is a misrepresentation based on half-truths and spinning of cherry picked numbers. Moreover, that some minority of small employers may opt to cancel plans, which employees will then be able to replace under the insurance exchanges created under the ACA, isn't indicative of people losing coverage or the opportunity to obtain medical care. This effect was, in fact, foreseen and to some extend intended.

"Why isn't Obama and Biden out there explaining to the American peoplewhy all their union supporters have received waivers to exempt them from Obamacare?"

Because they already did explain it: you just didn't like the well-reasoned answers because they refute the misinformation campaign narrative you hope to sell.

My daughter told me that she seen an article on TV where a man has exhausted his saving from paying for his child Medical Bills. Now he cried about Obama care so much and detested it becuase he stated that it was not really about the Health Care Laew but more about he just hated Obama and could not stand the thought of him being in the White House going along with others who hate. He stated that he voteed against the bill but in the end he stated that he wished that he had not because he did not have no where to turn but to go on public assistance. The maii one who was against it now needed it. God does not like ugliness. He was crying like he said going against the bill for the wrong reasons. Even though this man had a good job sickness does not discriiminate. The very ones who are against it ain't going to give you a dime for if you get sick. Romney and all the others have insurance if they get sick but what will you have when you get sick but a sad story saying I hate that happen to you.

Have they taken the time to identify how many signatures are duplicates?

Perhaps reading the Affordable Care Act would provide these idiots with some facts instead of the world of fiction
    in which they live.

Are we mandated to have auto insurance? Are we mandated to have home or business mortgage insurance? What's the big deal. This bill saves US taxpayers money, a lot of money, because those without insurance who will under this legislation have insurance, will not be frequenting emergency rooms for a stubbed toe, back pain, etc., etc. They will be assigned a private medical person who will assist them as a means of avoiding all of the huge expenses for not only the emergency visit, but the emergency vehicles to get them there.

This legislation is so plain and so simple, yet the right wing nuts cannot get past their own stupidity, and cannot
stop the fear mongering that goes hand in hand.

It does not bother me because God reminded me when I was in a bad shape and need public help somebody was paying taxes for me to get foodstamps. So I can't complain because at all. The shoe is on the other foot now. IMany of these poeple can benefit from this program but they are filled with hate. They would rather see there child or people in thier famillies not have it in order to hurt Obama, Do not be fooled POTUs is trying to help everybody. Remember Obama is not going to have go to the Emergency room and pay later because he will have his but when you go what will you have.
