Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

    Mmm hmm....

So, FOX News can do whatever it likes, even lie, and that is just fine with her. But the liberal media is a problem.

Calling out only one side of the aisle when both sides engage in the same practice is partisan rhetoric, cherry picking, sound bite BS. It is not intelligent debate or discourse. But then, Sarah was never good that anyway.

This woman will apparently do anything (short of a boob job that is) to keep her name in the news.

The fact is that the reporter DID take Santorum's words out of context: it does not excuse Santorum going off like this. A candidate for the office needs to display a level of self-control that Santorum failed at. While his irritation is understandable, does he really think this is going to persuade anyone that he's ready for the job?

Shows character, or lack thereof. If he loses control when dealing with the media, which ultimately is of no threat to him or the United States, how can anyone expect him to maintain control when dealing with folks in the middle east, or anywhere else for that matter. Oh, that's right, he'll just swear at them. That'll be real effective, right Ricky?

I can honestly say that no matter the issue, when Sarah Palin offers her opinion, I know that the exact opposite is ALWAYS true and right !! "Nuff said !!

"the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

I'm getting really sick of her invoking "the American people" everytime she wants to make a point she doesn't actually have.

I think Palin is absolutely correct. I believe the Republican candidates should ABSOLUTELY look even more untethered, and UnPresidential than they already do, by blasting reporters who dare question them using the candidates words verbatim. Who cares if the viewer can clearly see the video (oops!). We never wanted our Presidents smart, darnit... just more like us!

If Sarah Palin actually read all the newspapers as she claims she does, she would know that Rick Santoruma actually said what Zeleny quoted him as saying.

This from a candidate who thinks "What sorts of things do you read?" is a hostile question. With losers like Sarah Palin supporting him I don't think anyone needs to worry about Rick Santorum getting anywhere close to the GOP nomination.

Guess it is only okay if you are a Liberal. Having the Vice-President drop the "F" Bomb on National TV is just fine.

Of course she would. Like Santorum she too is an idiot and a hypocrite. Those two are like two peas in a pod. Heaven help us if either are EVER elected to a national office.

Now if you want to run for president you should be a loud potty mouth. Great as president rick in the middle of diplomatic discussions can yell and use profanity. What are these repos thinking? None have the temperment to handle world sisuations. None are fit to lead. Even russia finds them rediculous. How sad. Palin needs to go away.

All you people who like to lamblast this women at any given opportunity are just the cowards she is referring to. You can easily get on a place Like CNN who is Liberal based where no one can see who is making the insulting, low-mentality remarks. May you all rot in Hades.

And to think America had almost forgotten about her. Just when we are able to put her out of our mind, she pops her head up again, just like one of my favorite childhood games, "Whack-A-Mole". Anything to try to stay relevant to the media, I guess.

Or course anything is possible, when your house isn't in order. . . . . .

I'm not tired of of what the leftist media does to conservatives. I actually rather enjoy it. And FYI ... I am not a liberal. I am a former conservative now moderate who is just really frustrated with the the idiots who run and are part of the GOP.

  23. Oh Really?

I think it ironic that if Rick Santorum had his way in his perfect world, Sarah Palin would never have run for, or held, office. She'd be home cooking, cleaning, having children and worshiping her man. I wonder if Sarah ever considered she is supporting someone that would never support her. Probably not. These hyper-right-wing religious nut jobs don't think about anything much.

It's okay when ricky and mittens and newtie boy distort President Obama's record but there is hell to pay when the meida tells the truth. Folks, it's called "DoubleSpeak". I don't know why the democratic talking heads don't use the term to describe the republican lying machine. People read 1984 by George Orwell and you will see the term doublespeak. The republicans have taken it as their own. Lie is the Truth and the Truth is a lie!
