Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

"I like Palin. She is the smartest right winger around."

That's like bragging about being the sanest committed person in the mental ward.

How "Presidential" of Rick Santorum to respond to the press in that manner!! Figures that WT Palin would support that kind of language from a "Statesman!!" The GOP are a bunch of losers. We know there are smarter individuals in the GOP, but they have enough smarts to not get involved in such gutter politics!!!

Well sure! Nothing makes Palin madder than having to face facts. Santorum said what he did about Romney in the most public venue possible, and then was asked if he stood by it. Oh the temerity of it! How dare he bring up something I said? The dirty commie hippie pinko lefty! Having made an ass of himself, he's mad about being reminded of it. Just like Palin did.

That's funny! We have two politicians who agree that being asked to defend the statements that made/make in public is somehow unfair. Yeah, that seems reasonable...if you're in the GOP and can't be bothered to deal with the Truth. Hey, Sarah...we're still looking for those Death Panels. Can you help us out?

"I didn't even know Sara Palin is still relevant. Oh wait...she's not."

Use of the word "still" implies that she was, at one point, relevant. I beg to differ with that premise.

"He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives." Palin said...

So America is tired of the "leftist media", whatever that means, asking conservatives to explain statements they previously meant?

Maybe Sarah can give Mr. Santorum some Midol to control himself...

#1- Is anyone surprised that Sarah Palin is supportive of this? Basically, whatever is the most mind-blowingly infantile, hostile, nasty rhetoric from the mouth of any Republican will get Sarah's endorsement.
#2- Here's another example of Santorum showing that he does very poorly under pressure and snaps far too easily. So completely unpresidential.
#3- Could Sarah look any more like a "Stepford wife" in that scary, scary picture above?
