Palin congratulates Santorum over 'bulls-' remark

(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.

The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."

Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."

The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."

Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."

"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."

When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."

Palin remarked, “…don’t retreat.” She then retreated back to her sheltered life where she only appears on Fox, doesn’t allow people to record her speeches or ask her questions at them, all of which is occurring after she retreated on the citizens of Alaska.

Yes asking questions that she can not answer is 'twisting my words'. If she's not spoon fed the answers or has them written on her hands she is hopelessly lost. And they talk about Obama with his teleprompter! At least he can think on his feet when asked questions!

"American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives." hmmm, the Republicans need to stop blaming the media..in reality it is their ABUNDANT short-comings and their endless need to continue to cut their own throats... seems to me the Republicans are their own worst enemy

Ah yes–the "Liberal media" is to blame for asking about what Santorum said in his exact words. Had no doubt that Palin would throw her two cents in on Faux. She does know her BS.

One of the funniest skits of SNL in recent years was the skit of Palin repeating her own words, verbatim.

KInda reminds me of Joe, plugs, Biden and his horrible filthy remark when the Socialized Medicine Mandate was stuffed down our throats.

Apples & oranges. Joe Biden made a comment to an individual during an "open mic" moment. He didn't go on the defense with the camera rolling when someone questioned him about something he said about a candidate.

Of course she likes it...it's finally something she understands. If anyone understands BS...it's her.

If someone she didn't support politically had said this, she would be complaining about setting a bad example by using vulgar language.

I am truly getting weary of listening to the GOP candidates and their "mouthpieces" blame every imbecilic and dimwitted remark they make on the liberal media! Perhaps, just once, they should take responsibility for their own words. Unfortunately, however, I don't believe for a second that any of them are capable of that.

Sen. Santorum probably should've had a tighter grasp on his emotions, but the fact of the matter is that the media only plays this game with Republicans. Candidate Obama was asked ONE question about Bill Ayers during the 2008 campaign and his numerous gaffes have been swept under the proverbial rug. When a Republican commits an error in words or judgment, it leads the eveninig news for days. There is a liberal bias in the MSM whether the majority of posters on the Ticker want to admit it or not, and Gov. Palin is more than qualified to speak on that subject given the repugnant attacks she and her family have endured.
