(CNN) – Sarah Palin heaped praise on Rick Santorum after the Republican presidential candidate accused a reporter of "bulls-" questioning over the weekend.
The former 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said the exchange showed strength.

"It was good and it was strong and it was about time because he's saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting conservative's words," Palin said on Fox News late Monday night. "I was like welcome to my world Rick. And good on ya, don't retreat."
Santorum engaged in a heated exchange with The New York Times' Jeff Zeleny Sunday night when the reporter asked Santorum about his earlier comment that Romney was "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama," in reference to health care. An angry Santorum said "quit distorting my words … It's bulls-."
The former Pennsylvania senator later told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "The Situation Room," "If you're a conservative and you haven't taken on a New York Times reporter you're not worth your salt as far as I'm concerned."
Palin echoed the sentiments, calling Zeleny a "liberal leftist in the tank for Obama."
"I was glad that he called out this reporter," Palin said. "He and the other candidates, all of them, they need to do more of this because believe me the American people are tired of what the leftist media continues to do to conservatives."
When asked if a nominee Santorum could be a reality, the former Alaska governor said "anything is possible."
Dumb and DUMBER!
LooseyGoosey: I think the correct term is "Hot Mess".
You know Palin will defend a fellow Republican that gets asked a question he can't answer or would show him flip flopping or in this case lying that he never said it. What would you expect from her, miss I don't know the name of any of the things I read. hahahahahahahahahaha
This is right up there with the time Charles Barkley claimed he was miss quoted in his autobiography.
Who is this Palin lady and what is her relevance to anything?
think palin got upset that she wasnt part of the conversation regarding worst republicans in the field. by sunday someone will point out to her that she isnt in the field so to speak
Am I hearing this correct, 'One of the most conservative candidates in this country is congratulating another conservative candidate for using expletives against the media' ? Let me look at the dictionary again to see what the word "conservative" means.
1) Santorum said it.
2) The reporter asked about his statements, quoting Santiorum exactly
3) Santorum gets all frothy at the reporter, in effect denying his own statement
4) Santorum is ridiculed all up and down the dial for denying reality.
5) Sarah, in her anti-media fixation, piles in and makes as big a fool of herself as Santorum, or maybe even more so, since he'd already been procen a fool even before she opened those luscious lips on the matter.
Sarah Palin – late to the fail as usual.
Party of family values..... yeah right...
Oh, how I have missed half term Gov and beauty pageant first runner-up Snooki Palin in the Repub/TPer Circular Firing Squad. She was by far the best shot. Perhaps Sanctimonious Santorum will name her as Sec of Education in his new theocracy. Halle Julia !
What else could you expect from a low-life gutter tramp. Thanks again, John McCain.
Newsflash for Sarah the QUITTER: getting angry because someone quotes what you say IN CONTEXT is a sign if immaturity NOT strength. But then again, Palin QUIT because she COULDN'T handle the fact that people were holding her to account for her actions as Governor. Maybe she and Rick can schedule a tantrum play-date together.
(Yawn) Who cares what Palin thinks, says, or does?
Once again, almost nobody cares what Sarah Palin thinks. Please CNN, stop giving her any media attention and maybe she will just fade away,
I don't plan on actually reading the article, but I will note that I'm surprised I was able to come to this page and CTRL+F the word "gotcha" and not get any hits.
(Yawn) Jeez, is she still around? Who cares what Palin thinks, says, or does?
Of course she congratulated him. Those gutter rednecks stick together. If Ricky can't and won't answer questions while out stumping, then get the He!! out of the race. Sorry Ricky, you don't get to call the shots when you are putting yourself and your "visions" out for the world to hear. And that "Offence as Defense" you clowns like to use, looks silly coming from you. It is obvious that you have a very thin line between controlling your emotions and going off. That, my friend, it NOT PRESIDENTIAL! If only worked for Gingrich in the deep south, where the rednecks live. The rest of us don't by the indignation. You said it, now back it up! Or Shut-Up!
Keep talking Palin, and Obama will win by a landslide. No, I'm not a Democrat, I am a Republican. If you and Rush Limbaugh continue to represent the Republican Party then I have to think that the Party has been turned over to fools.
See Sarah. See Sarah detect an opportunity for publicity. See Sarah open her yap. Yap, Sarah, yap!
*YAWN*
good to see the small town mayor is continuing to speak out on the big issues of the day. shouldn't she be hibernating or something up there in her igloo?
Palin – WHO CARES?
@LooseyGoosey I guess.... In an Alice Cooper sort of way
Who cares what Sarah Palin says.
Anything Sarah Palin agrees with, it almost always NOT good for the country! She only commented because she hadn't seen her name in the media lately. Except for the movie "Game Change", which was brilliant. It showed her to be exactly what most thinking Americans thought she was. An egomanical nutcase!
Yes, either of these whiney cry-babies is under fire, even from a little reporter, they run for their blankies and have a temper tantrum. Now, that's real "leadership"! They can dish it out, but certainly have proven they can't take the heat.
