
(CNN) – The chair of the primary super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich’s presidential candidacy pledged Friday to continue their efforts as long as Gingrich remains in the race.
“Newt Gingrich is in charge, we’ll follow his lead and we’ll stay in as long as he wants,” Rick Tyler told CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley on CNN’s “John King, USA.”

(CNN) - As he fights to keep his seat on Capitol Hill, Republican Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts brought in $3.4 million during the first three months of the year, his campaign announced Friday.
The amount marks a slight uptick in fundraising hauls over the previous quarter, in which he raised $3.2 million.

Washington (CNN) - As likely Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney aims his firepower at President Barack Obama, he still has to protect his flank from rival Rick Santorum in a primary battle that Romney has all but won.
The former Massachusetts governor painted that picture while campaigning Thursday in Pennsylvania ahead of the state's April 24 primary.

"We viewed it was a courtesy visit," Perry's spokesman Ray Sullivan said, without discussing specifics of the conversation.

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's campaign wasted no time Thursday jumping on a report about Mitt Romney limiting certain disclosures of his financial investments. And Mitt Romney's campaign was equally quick to fire back.
Using the president's Twitter account, as well as accounts from top campaign staff, Obama's re-election team pushed a story by the Washington Post, even starting the Twitter hashtag: #WhatsRomneyHiding.

(CNN) - Rick Santorum's three-year-old daughter Isabella, who suffers from a chromosomal condition called Trisomy 18, is back in the hospital, his spokesman Hogan Gidley announced Friday.
"Rick and his wife Karen have taken their daughter Bella to the hospital," Gidley said in a statement. "The family requests prayers and privacy as Bella works her way to recovery."

(CNN) - Following up on the sluggish job numbers released Friday, the White House maintained the economy is still undergoing growth.
"There is more work to be done, but today's employment report provides further evidence that the economy is continuing to recover from the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression," said Alan Krueger, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, in a statement.
