'War over women' kicks off Obama-Romney race
Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama and his certain Republican opponent in November, Mitt Romney, shifted to full general election mode Wednesday, portraying each other as threats to future American progress as their campaigns engaged in a "war over women" indicative of what to expect for the next seven months.
A day after his path to the GOP nomination cleared by chief rival Rick Santorum's withdrawal, Romney sought to reverse a gender gap problem by attacking Obama's economic policies as bad for women.

So does this mean that Obama will FINALLY start paying for all of his campaign trips and fund raisers instead of stealing from the American taxpayers to pay for it? His "policy speech" yesterday was a full political assault and that is NOT a policy speech. Obama is just a fraud from start to finish it seems.
For Mittens to accuse the president of stifling, when his own party has voted against every job creation bill is down right dishonest. Sadly, the mission of the GOP is to destroy the president even if it means destroying our country.

Mittens said he wanted to create good jobs. I would like to hear what Mittens thinks is a good job. Obviously they are not high paying with benefits because he has blamed the American worker for our republican economic demise, and not blamed Wall Street, big banks, big oil, and corporate greed for our downfall. Maybe he thinks that Walmart greeters will be the new upper middle class.
Obama, meanwhile, continued his push for Congress to pass a tax measure that would ensure that millionaires - such as Romney - pay a higher tax rate than middle-class workers.

This is Obama displaying his ignorance of economics for all to see. American tax policy should be based on economics rather than politics...especially now when the economy is in such dire need of recovery. National debt is spiraling out of control, unemployment is stuck above 8% even though so many people have given up looking for work and the housing market looks like foreclosures not slowing down for years to come. We have seen the result of Obama's politonomics for the last 3 years. Enough already. It is time to call in an expert. In fact, 2 of them.

The entire republican party is a fraud against the American people. I am tired of the constant need for the GOP to create safety nets for the wealthiest Americans. They don't need help, they are doing very well. The GOP motto is becoming, "If you are not in the upper .01%, you are on your own."
Obama pretending to understand and apply economic principles at this poitn of his term is just sickening. Time to leave, bro. You had your chance, now it's time for someone with real world economic experience to take over. Im sure there are some neighborhoods back in Chicago that need some motivational speeches.
Immediately after Obama was inaugurated, Rush Limbaugh declared that he wished that Obama would fail, and called on all Republicans to ensure that the president becomes a one-term president. Sadly, the Republican congress has religiously followed Rush Limbaugh's directive (or fatwa) and thwarted every reasonable effort of the president to pull this country out of one the deepest recession. That recession, by the way, was caused by policies of the previous administration and were warmly supported by the republican congress.

How is it NOT in their best interest to get rid of Obama before he bankrupts the country? Sounds like they're voting for a financially sound futue for their country instead of Obama's future bankruptcy plans.
Romney will not bounce checks, unless he becomes president and enacts more unpaid-for tax cuts. His tax cut plan will cost the Treasury more than 3 trillion over the next decade compared to current (that means Obama's) policy. Then the United States will be bouncing checks.

I sincerely doubt that the GOP hierarchy is going to let Mitt Romney continue steering the GOP off the cliff. It's been obvious from the start that the GOP is lukewarm towards Mitt, less so than they were with McCain. Mitt Romney is with out a doubt his own worse enemy. Nope. It means he will double or triple his appearances.
Don't forget. Romney's campaign costs the taxpayers money, too.
In an earlier post a right wingnut said that the unemployment rate was 16%. While the U-6 is 14.5%, it represents a drop in unemployment of over 10.5% in just the last year alone. Compare that to Bush's last year, the U-6 went from 9.2% to 14.2%, or as we like to put it, an increase of 54.3% in his unemployment rate.

All the Republicans for 3 and ½ years took a free pay check; taxpayer paid insurance, a retirement fund and many benefits and put a wall up against helping Americans when the nation was at its worst. My President went around them, under them and through them and still did a more than decent job than any other President in our country! Most of all he cleaned up their mess with no help from them! The best is yet to come from our President! America will send Mitt Romney back to one or two of his many homes with a lesson in money can’t buy you the White House!
By the way, all unemployment rates from U-1, U-2, U-3, U-4, U-5, and U-6 under Obama show a drop in unemployment rates of 9.4% to 22.4%. You won't hear that on Fox foreign owned media with 10% Saudi.
