Nugent threatens death if Obama wins in November

(CNN) – Rocker Ted Nugent did little to quell his reputation as a conservative firebrand through comments at the National Rifle Association convention when he took aim (pun intended) at high profile members of the Barack Obama administration and voiced support for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The Romney-backer, musician, activist, NRA board member and tea party figure encouraged an NRA audience over the weekend to help oust the current administration.

"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent said, according to a video posted on YouTube by the NRA. "If you can't go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil America hated administration, I don't even know what you're made out of."

He accused the government of "wiping its ass with the Constitution you're living under a rock some place" and labeled members of the Obama administration, including the vice president, attorney general and secretary of state "criminals."

"We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Am I, any questions?" Nugent said.

This is not the first time Nugent has vividly espoused his views. In fact, the NRA has a section of its website devoted to some of his statements, including profanity-laced comments and threats directed at then candidates Obama and Hillary Clinton during the last election cycle.

Responding to the comments from Nugent, who announced his support for the former Massachusetts governor in March, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said "Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from."

"Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil," she added.

Saul's reaction followed a call from Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to denounce the remarks. Wasserman Schultz sent out an email to supporters on Tuesday to solicit donations off the comments she called "despicable, deplorable and completely beyond the pale."

"Romney's surrogates should know better than to rally the troops with outrageous rhetoric that is unacceptable in our political debate," the Florida representative said in a statement. "Mitt Romney must condemn Nugent's violent and hateful rhetoric immediately, as it has no place in our political discourse or this campaign."

Let's not forge Bill Maher donated $1million to Obama's super Pac . Spike Lee tweeted the wrong address of Zimmerman and put an elderly couple in harms way of the Black Panther Party and every Democrat nut that wanted revenge. Mr. Lee also donated $1million dollars to Obama's super pac. Any condemnation fr Obama of his most ardent supporters Maher, Lee, Schultz, Letterman, Wright, Farrakhan? (cue the crickets please) Don't u just love the hypocrisy here. LOL!!!

So because one man says lets do it thats what we as a whole in this country do. I mean really is this what we as americans have resulted to. Ya'll know when we have dealt with Obama he gives information as it is and then provides options that are proposed. Its childish amd unamericanish to stand up there and throw stones when you live in a glass house. So all of us wake up and ask the mirror and then call Obama to see are if being lazy for life is ok. Come on with the irresponsibility of individuals. All of us have put this country in debt. One person cant control a billion. Only god can do that.

I am an avid gun collector and shooter. However, I refuse to join the NRA because unhinged radicals like Ted Nugent, Sarah Palin, and Oliver North are asked to speak at NRA events.

Nice spin Rudy NYC but u r dead wrong and u know it. Obama accepted contributions fr Larry Schutz, Maher, Letterman, Spike Lee, etc, all of whom speak hatefil rhetoric towards women, kids, all things conservatives.
What on earth are you responding to? I never said I was defending Maher. In fact, I specifically said that I was not.

What I said was that there are plenty of examples of liberals talking badly, too. BUT, the difference is that when a liberal speaks badly, then that liberal is admonished by his or her fellow liberals. All of those names you cited, have criticized liberals, too. In fact, all of them have made light of, or made fun of Pres. Obama.

But, the Reagan Rule is in effect in the case of Ted Nugent. Even without it, one would have to be as crazy as Nugent's own words to criticize him. I wouldn't want a guy totin' guns under his jacket who talks like that made at me. Would you?

Ted Nugent is precisely the reason we NEED some sort of gun control. Can you say: SNAP, CRACKLE, POP??? What a WHACK JOB.

All this indignation from a guy who avoided the draft during the Vietnam era by faking an illness! Pretty tough talk by a coward!!!! Talk about insulting America!

Just what I need, political advice from a burned-out, has-been rocker. And what does the queen of irrelevancy, Sarah the Quitter from the Jerry Springer Show, have to say about all this? Enquiring minds want to know!

Only further proves the point that the Right is so desperate. Die then Ted. I'm a Michigan native and I never did like you or your music. As far as I'm concerned, what he said was treason and should be dealt with accordingly. This man is unstable. It Mitt does not come out and personally admonish him for his statements, that's all you need to know folks. The Republicans want to win and any cost. Even the cost of lives!

It's a sad day in American when the likes of Ted Nugent can get coverage on CNN . . . And, heed his words. He's not called "The Motor City Madman" for nothing. He's nuts!!

Too bad Ted doesn't do drugs. He's in serious need of some reefer. Great guitarist, though.

Ted Nugent on Rage Against the Machine: Yes, you know, we disagreed with a lot of administrations in the past, but none of our rhetoric included, you know, threatening lives. These guys are over the top. But they're lunatic fringe that even your average Democrat liberal doesn't agree with. But, unfortunately, nobody is silencing these guys, or not necessarily silencing, but condemning this outrageous violence that they're recommending.

Terrible Ted has re-earned his moniker. This lunatic is a perfect example of an idealogy that has no basis in reality. I have no idea what these folks are FOR...all you ever hear is that they are AGAINST President Obama. Go out and harvest another animal over a bait pile or with a guide that you pay to give you a 'shot' and call it hunting. What a loser...
