Nugent threatens death if Obama wins in November

(CNN) – Rocker Ted Nugent did little to quell his reputation as a conservative firebrand through comments at the National Rifle Association convention when he took aim (pun intended) at high profile members of the Barack Obama administration and voiced support for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The Romney-backer, musician, activist, NRA board member and tea party figure encouraged an NRA audience over the weekend to help oust the current administration.

"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent said, according to a video posted on YouTube by the NRA. "If you can't go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil America hated administration, I don't even know what you're made out of."

He accused the government of "wiping its ass with the Constitution you're living under a rock some place" and labeled members of the Obama administration, including the vice president, attorney general and secretary of state "criminals."

"We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Am I, any questions?" Nugent said.

This is not the first time Nugent has vividly espoused his views. In fact, the NRA has a section of its website devoted to some of his statements, including profanity-laced comments and threats directed at then candidates Obama and Hillary Clinton during the last election cycle.

Responding to the comments from Nugent, who announced his support for the former Massachusetts governor in March, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said "Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from."

"Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil," she added.

Saul's reaction followed a call from Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to denounce the remarks. Wasserman Schultz sent out an email to supporters on Tuesday to solicit donations off the comments she called "despicable, deplorable and completely beyond the pale."

"Romney's surrogates should know better than to rally the troops with outrageous rhetoric that is unacceptable in our political debate," the Florida representative said in a statement. "Mitt Romney must condemn Nugent's violent and hateful rhetoric immediately, as it has no place in our political discourse or this campaign."

    Republican version of PATRIOTISM

Just so we're clear, here are some simple facts...

    1) Ted publicly threatened to behead both President Obama and Hillary Clinton (TERRORISM)
    2) Ted threatened to lead a revolution against the government (TREASON)
    3) Mitt Romney sought Ted's endorsement (palling around with terrorists)
    4) Ted crapped his pants to avoid Vietnam War. (DRAFT DODGING COWARD)
    5) Not a single one of Mitt's healthy sons volunteered to fight in 2 of America's longest wars. (COWARDSx5)
    6) and Republicans bashed the President for not wearing a flag pin....

Proving once again why Ted Nugent has and never was relavent. His rhetoric doesn't match the facts. And his "chop of their heads" comment sounds like KKK talk. And the Tea Party movement isn't based on racism? Yeah right. He's borderline on saying that Obama should be assassinated.

I saw the video. He is speaking metaphorically. "We are Braveheart....We need to go into the battlefield and chop their heads off" Get real people! Quit being so artificially insulted. If you saw the video, regardless where your political bent lies, and you can't decipher what he is talking about, you deserve Debbie Wasserman as your "go-to" gal.

Don't associate this dude with rock. Ick, yeck, blecccchhhhh. What has he even put out of note anytime recently? Wasn't rock once about more than one race, and everybody–including the poor and the middle class–kind of getting together and having a good time? Not just people with elevators for their CARS?! This guy is so nuts he makes sarah palin look reasonable and bookish.

Nugent is a circus performer. He is not a philosopher, a comedian, an actor, a politician, or a man of God. He is a circus performer. What has Nugent ever done for this country? What are his credentials for advising people on life's issues? Nugent is a circuls performer in The Circus of Hate. He knows how to plug a guitar into an electrical outlet and make noises. ...a real American hero. Thanks for all you do for us Ted!

Yay! This is perfect. Keep fanning the flames and enraging the populace. This really will be better for the country in the long term. The system we have now is a complete failure. The path we are on is leading inevitably to destruction. No ifs ands or buts about it. The sooner we devolve into anarchy and civil war, the sooner we can build a new system, hopefully a better system, from the ashes.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

I promoted Nuegent from 1970 to 1980. He is insane! He is also a Pedifile!
Hundreds of roadies know this and called him "Uncle Ted", because they would find him in the equipment truck, limo, band house or closet with some under aged girl 15, 16 the younger the better, he never asked.
He should be dead or in jail! He once let a real arrow go inside an auditorium shattering a glass chandelier and covering the audience in glass. He could have blinded someone. He's done so much speed in his life that nobody should take him seriously! He's also a punk and couldn't fight his way out of a 8th grade gym class. His fixation on guns is to support his feelings of inferiority and his drug overdose history has effected his mind and his fears! Obama's not taking anybodys guns, but somebody should take Ted's away and lock him up!

Where are the demands for an apology, this man is a private citizen just like Hilliary Rosen. Mitt Romney needs to immediately come out and denouce these comments, or take personal responsibility for these words. If President Obama is responsible for the words of every Democrat out there, than Mitt is responsible for these vile words.

Poor Theodore's got cat-scatch fever. Does anyone really care what this guy thinks? A third-rate rocker and a cut-rate political philosopher (and I'm being generous). We could have a record burning, but we'd be hard pressed to find anyone who still owns them. Let's just forget this ever happened and he can slink off to his Michigan bunker to await his apocalypse.

What a whack job. This is the perfect reason why people shouldn't do drugs. Remember the commercial about drug use that showed a hot frying pan and the narrator said, "this is your brain." Then they place an egg into the frying pan and the announcer said, "this is your brain on drugs." Nuff said.

oh Ted Nugent, you're about as relevant politically as Hollywood liberals like to pretend they are. Go crawl back under your rock and stay there, no one cares about you

This guy is such a phony. Talks tough but I bet if the stuff hits the fan he'd be cowering under the bed. I'm more impressed he survived the drug fueled days of his part.

Nugent is all talk. He's not the kind of guy that will ever do anything. He's a weakling dedicated to talking tough. Like the whole teaparty. Whiny babies that talk talk talk. I'm going to guess that Nugent will still be whining at this time next year.

Amazing! Where do some of these folks get this stuff: "turn you to communism" most people don't even know what that means in the real world not imagined fantasy, crazy. 'obolish' the second amendment, how crazy is that?, like we elect a dictator who rules by fiat? Remember folks we have a Congress that makes the legislation the President can either accept or reject. He cannot dictate to Congress, only propose and then Congress takes charge to do it .... or not – and the President can accept or reject. I just seems that so much on the far right gets more and more ridiculous.
