Romney: Obama should 'suck it up'
(CNN) - Mitt Romney drew new contrasts with President Barack Obama on Wednesday by targeting the president's fondness for golf and vacations with his family.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee said Obama's golf trips make him "scratch his head."

"I must admit, I scratch my head at the capacity of the president to take four hours off on such a regular basis to go golfing," Romney told WLW Radio in Cincinnati, responding to a question about the president's hobbies. "I would think you could kind of suck it up for four years particularly when the American people are out of work."
When asked about vacations taken by the Obama family, who travel to the president's native Hawaii annually, Romney said his family would not use four or eight years in the White House to "see the world." Instead, the former Massachusetts governor said he would frequent Camp David, the presidential retreat in the Catoctin Mountain Park of Frederick County, Maryland.
"I think one of the great resources that the president enjoys is Camp David," Romney said, after the host referenced a recent trip by Obama's eldest daughter Malia to Mexico. "I would anticipate if I were fortunate enough to become elected president that I'd be spending some time at Camp David, and my family and I would not be jetting around the world and using four years in office to see the world."
Obama has admittedly not used the grounds as much as his predecessors but is scheduled to host the G-8 summit there in May.
"Somebody pointed out that I hadn't had any of my counterparts, who I've worked with now for three years, up to Camp David," Obama told reporters in March. "I think that the weather should be good that time of year."
Team Obama did not immediately respond to a request for comment following Romney's interview.

Wow Romney sure wasted no time going for the very stupidest of positions eh? Going after vacations, which obviously he is educated enough to realize are more like working from someplace other than DC. Ranting about the "vast liberal conspiracy" on right wing hate radio. Sending Nugent out to treaten violence... We're only a few days in to him being formally the nominee and he's already digging this deep?
Mittens smart mouth is a bit premature.
He just looks desperate, spending 4 hours once or twice a week on the golf course is hardly an issue, indeed it is a stress reliever and I would be concerned if such breaks didn't occur.
When POTUS you count days worked not days vacation.
Mr. Romney, Hawaii is not "Seeing the world". Hawaii is President Obama's home just like Chicago. People are allowed to have more than one place to call home, where they can go to decompress. I'm sure you know that, given the number of homes you and your family own. Please do us all a favor and go find some other hobby besides running for the Presidency of the United States. There is still a great deal of serious work to be done and the American people can not afford to be your experiment, flavor of the month, lab rats, etc...
I have to scratch my head when someone that is already described as out of touch with average Americans decides to totally rebuild his California mansion at the same time he is running for President. Don't forget the elevator he is building in his garage. What a clown.

What is he talking about, bush spent 90% of his time, for 8 years on vavation. The republicans will say anything for a vote, too bad most americans are dumb enough to believe it.
That's it? That's Mitt's big complaint – that the President plays golf? I've worked for some pretty successful executives who had the nerve to take time to play golf. In fact, I've played golf quite a bit too and yet I managed to handle my job. How would it make any difference for the President to stop playing golf, especially with the technology we have today? It has been reported that Bush took 967 days of vacation in his 8 years as president (more than 30% of his presidency). Does anyone really think that a president, ANY PRESIDENT, actually gets away from the Office? This type of complaint is just petty and reflects very poorly on Romney, not Obama.

Yes Angela, I do. Senator Obama. I get that people have already decided who to vote for. Many decided years, decades ago before either one's name was known, much less a President/candidate.
For the record, President Obama has done a good job under difficult times. Times that would have occurred regardless of who won on '04', '00', '96. Unless you're also saying the Pelosi was the worst Speaker of the House in HISTORY. If everything Democrats say is true, then, that's just simply a statistical fact.

all of Obama's appointed czars are of the lowest caliber. They can give guidence to the GSA for corrupt spending. Maybe Obama is concerned that this might get closer to home.

Hawaii is where Mr. Obama grew up, it is his hometown...If elected, will Mr. Moneybags never visit his hometown for 4 years? I think not
Seeing the world? last I looked Hawaii was part of the United States. Golf has been a regular pass time for Presidents for who knows how long, so that leaves trips with the Family? So I guess Family time doesn't mean anything to this hopeful.
