Romney: Obama should 'suck it up'
(CNN) - Mitt Romney drew new contrasts with President Barack Obama on Wednesday by targeting the president's fondness for golf and vacations with his family.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee said Obama's golf trips make him "scratch his head."

"I must admit, I scratch my head at the capacity of the president to take four hours off on such a regular basis to go golfing," Romney told WLW Radio in Cincinnati, responding to a question about the president's hobbies. "I would think you could kind of suck it up for four years particularly when the American people are out of work."
When asked about vacations taken by the Obama family, who travel to the president's native Hawaii annually, Romney said his family would not use four or eight years in the White House to "see the world." Instead, the former Massachusetts governor said he would frequent Camp David, the presidential retreat in the Catoctin Mountain Park of Frederick County, Maryland.
"I think one of the great resources that the president enjoys is Camp David," Romney said, after the host referenced a recent trip by Obama's eldest daughter Malia to Mexico. "I would anticipate if I were fortunate enough to become elected president that I'd be spending some time at Camp David, and my family and I would not be jetting around the world and using four years in office to see the world."
Obama has admittedly not used the grounds as much as his predecessors but is scheduled to host the G-8 summit there in May.
"Somebody pointed out that I hadn't had any of my counterparts, who I've worked with now for three years, up to Camp David," Obama told reporters in March. "I think that the weather should be good that time of year."
Team Obama did not immediately respond to a request for comment following Romney's interview.

Romney sounds so juvenile when he whines and cries about how a man handles a REAL JOB. R-Money has no clue, has never been president, hasn't had any foreign experience, and he is a LIAR. All the time, a liar. Or maybe just Drama Queen.
Oh no he didn't! Really Mitt? GWB was rarely in DC, always at his ranch in Crawford, TX. Even though I know Mitt won't be elected (ever!), I sure would like to hold him to his word of "sucking it up" for 4 years without a vacation anywhere but Camp David. If he were to be elected (which he won't), the media would have a field day when Mitt and family went anywhere but Camp David.
So no other president has taken a vacation I think Bush was on vacation even when he was sitting in the oval office. Wow I thought he went golfing with that cry baby Boehner the speaker of the house.
No one complained that 'W' took an hour every day to exercise... that was considered wonderful and leading by example. How is this any different?

Romney is low class with cash. Such terms as suck it up and pack your bags refering to the President will not get any votes. He should not open the door attacking or letting someone attack the President's young daughter because she went to Mexico with a group of kids. When he thought someone was atacking his wife for never working out of the home he whined like a baby wanting a bottle. There is nothing wrong with any President spending time with their family. Does Romney not understand that during this century of modern technology the President is never really on vacation whether at the White House or in another country. romney should talk ab out his plans if he wants to be President and stay out of the gutter. Mitt Romney has dozens of former Bush Advisors who did nothing to prevent the stock market from going down 6,000 points in a matter of 2 months (770 points in one day), the worst financial disaster since the depression, caused AIG to go bankrupt, caused the automobile industry to go broke, caused the collapse of the banking industry. In the past four years, if Romney made a bad decision, maybe his off-shore accounts might lose a few bucks of interest. In the past three years, if Obama made a bad decision, maybe we'd be involved in WW III. I'm glad the president can make a little time to unwind. It's the most stressful job in the world. Mitt's obviously desperate when he resorts to such cheap shots. But I'll bet he had no problem with W's record-setting vacation time spent golfing and goofing off for a whole month at a time in Crawford.
If anyone in the world deserves to take some time out every now and then it is the POTUS. The nerve of Mitt Romeny to question President Obama in this way. Really–this is what Romney wants to focus on? Not speaking from any particular partisan position here, only from a political analysis, the man needs to go get some political aides with competence. Why in the world does he want to make this an issue. Here's a guy with multiple homes, all of them worth millions. Here's a guy who has not owned a company or had a paying job in 8 years yet has made tens of millions of dollars in income every single one of those eight years. And he's telling Obama to "suck it up" and not take so many breaks? What next–Romney is going to criticize Obama for not fully disclosing on his taxes? Or criticize Obama for paying a lower tax rate than his chief WH secretary? What next, Romney is going to critize how Obama treats his dog? Or Michele Obama for not taking a paying job? Does Romney know that George Bush spent 32% of his time in office on vacation? The only president who took off more time was Reagan. And Bush took more time off in 3 years than Clinton did in 8. So, if President Obama wants to play golf once in awhile, so be it.
