Washington (CNN) - The Adelson family continues to be the major benefactor behind the super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich's candidacy, Winning Our Future.
While Nevada casino mogul Sheldon Adelson - who has donated $7.5 million to the group - did not give more in March, his wife Dr. Miriam Adelson contributed an additional $5 million last month, according to a report filed late Friday night with the Federal Election Commission. All totaled she has given $12.5 million and the family has given more than $20 million.

(CNN) – Newt Gingrich's struggling bid for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination is more than $4 million in debt, according to federal fund-raising figures for March the campaign submitted to the government Friday.
Of the $4.3 million in debt Gingrich reported on forms filed with the Federal Election Commission, nearly $272,000 was money the candidate loaned his own campaign. The loan was billed as "travel" on the filing report.

(CNN) – President Barack Obama was briefed in the Oval Office Friday on the investigation into the Secret Service prostitution scandal that emerged last week, according to White House officials.
Obama was briefed by Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan, who has ordered a “comprehensive” investigation of everything that happened during the president’s trip to Cartagena, Colombia.

Washington (CNN) – Liberty University students and alumni are accusing the Christian school of violating its own teachings by asking Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints whose adherents are called Mormons, to deliver its 2012 commencement address.
By Friday morning, more than 700 comments had been posted on the school's Facebook page about the Thursday announcement – a majority of them decidedly against the Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr.’s invitation, citing that the school had taught them Mormonism isn’t part of the Christian faith.
FULL STORY(CNN) - Air Force Two, a modified Boeing 757 airplane carrying Vice President Joe Biden, was involved in a “bird strike” while landing in Santa Barbara, California on Thursday evening, an Air Force spokesman confirmed to CNN.
“The plane landed safely as a precautionary measure and is currently being inspected to assess if there is any damage,” said Lieutenant Gregg Johnson, a public affairs officer for the Air Force’s 89th Airlift Wing – the unit responsible for managing presidential air travel.

A senior adviser to the former senator from Pennsylvania also tells CNN the campaign had $1.8 million cash on hand with debts and other obligations of $1.9 million as of April 1.

(CNN) – A rising Republican star considered to be on the party's vice presidential short list will campaign on Monday with likely nominee Mitt Romney, campaign officials told CNN.
Romney and Rubio, a U.S. senator from Florida, will make their first joint campaign appearance outside of Philadelphia, the officials said. Rubio endorsed Romney earlier this month, but the two did not appear together.

(CNN) – The primary pro-Mitt Romney super PAC raised $8.7 million in March but also spent heavily, pouring $12.7 million into the month before his primary rival for the GOP nomination withdrew.
Restore Our Future went into the month with $10.5 million cash on hand and ended with $6.5 million, according to monthly financial disclosure forms filed with the Federal Election Commission on Friday.
