Washington (CNN) – Liberty University students and alumni are accusing the Christian school of violating its own teachings by asking Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints whose adherents are called Mormons, to deliver its 2012 commencement address.
By Friday morning, more than 700 comments had been posted on the school's Facebook page about the Thursday announcement – a majority of them decidedly against the Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr.’s invitation, citing that the school had taught them Mormonism isn’t part of the Christian faith.

Romney 2012/2016
When Obama did ran for Presidency, He was accused of being a muslim and his Pastor an Anti-American
Now the republican wants to ran with a Mormon as their nominee...MY GOD WHAT A PARTY IS THIS!!!!!!!!!!
Religion wars. How about Biden's plane hit some birds? Ain't it sad?
When Obama did ran for Presidency, He was bitterlly accused of being a muslim and his Pastor an Anti-American
Though we know he is a Christian
Now the republican wants to ran with a Mormon as their party nominee...MY GOD WHAT A PARTY IS THIS!!!!!!!!!!
So they're Christians when it's politically convenient but the rest of the time they're not.
So religion is a big problem. I taught economy is our beggest problem. Democrats tried hard to distract the realissue.
Google: The White Horse Prophesy
Mitt Romney is an ELDER and HIGH PRIEST of the mormon "church"
Mormon takeover of our elected government is a danger to America
Do you want the HIGH PRIEST of a cult to be our President? NO!
Understand that danger
Why have all the comments disappeared?
Any Christian that believes in One God and ONE Word of God, will NEVER subscribe to the the blasphemous book of mormon or its false prophets...
You can't moderate THAT out of the conversation!
Is this moderation panel a mormon conspiricy?
If you can't leave the comments already posted here, you should just shut off the "comments" button
It seems as though CNN does this heavy handed moderation whenever the discussion goes where they had hoped it wouldn't. Then they just erase ALL the comments. IT SUCKS!
Sad to see the university of saducees and Pharisees not accepting what they have labeled to be"non-christian". As a former member of a Christian Fellowship church, and now agnostic, I find the Mormons to be more in line with christ anyway. They preach family, love, and faith in Christ, and they don't tell other Christians that They aren't Christian because they don't believe the way that the creeds were voted on and written by men hundreds of years after Christ lived.
" ...a majority of them decidedly against the Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr.’s invitation, citing that the school had taught them Mormonism isn’t part of the Christian faith."
The bah-bah stinky is hitting the fan ...
Well what a twist Christians should stand their ground and practice what they preach and stop kissing republican behind because republicans for sure will throw them under the bus. Second Christian organizations should stay out of politics or get ready to pay taxes
Guess Liberty University shall reap what it sow. Karma is a b.i.t.c.h!
Latter Day Bush will tell you just what you want.
He needs your vote , and he's willing pay you for it !
Mitt Bush 2013
Fallwell knows politics is more important than religion, suck it up Liberty.
Vote as you are told. Beliefs don't matter, obey.
That s sad.I wonder if their teachings about the Catholic religion will come out.It s the same as well. What s this about you allow the Anti Christ speak at your school? All the war on religion is another smoke screen.Religion must of the time isn't of God but man.Faith is of God
falwell is another religious nut and opportunist. Somebody should start following him. I am sure he will lead them to something nasty on the side. Just like most of them god fearing hypocrites.
Smart students happen to be smater than the founder. Wow
