(CNN) - Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl threw his support behind Mitt Romney, the candidate's campaign announced Friday.
"After a long primary, it is time for the Republican Party to come together and support the candidate who will defeat President Obama. That is why I am proud to support Mitt Romney," the Arizona senator said in a statement.

Kyl pointed to Romney's economic plan, drawing a sharp contrast to what he called President Barack Obama's "broken promises and failed policies."
"These next months will be hard fought and change will not come easy, but I am proud to stand with Mitt and to do anything I can to make sure he is our next president," the senator said.
Kyl joins other Congressional leaders who endorsed Romney earlier this week, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner.
The third-term senator announced last year he will not run for re-election in the Grand Canyon State.

Well if the American people were so happy with Obama and the Democrats during their first 2 years in office, why would they have thrown out record numbers in 2010 and taken away Democrat control in the House, and almost in the Senate? Those new Reps and Senators were elected BECUASE they ran on STOPPING Obama and the Democrats based on what they had seen in the first two years. They did EXACTLY what we wanted them to do and will be rewarded again in 2012. 2012 will see the completion of the removal of the Democrats from DC. Even a fith grader knows you can't run a country like they have been doing.

Dude's leaving Congress with nothing to lose politically no matter how you spin it. Had he been honest and admitted what most GOPers are already saying behind closed doors - that Romney doesn't stand a chance - well then, THAT would be newsworthy indeed. Fat chance, though. Kyle does have his "private" career to consider...
Barney Frank: Obamacare Was a 'Mistake'
Obama, says Frank, overinterpreted his mandate from the 2008 election.
=========================================================
Geez, even Barney Frank is now telling the truth, just like Manchin!!! What do you think of THIS LarryL??? Even the far left loons in the Democrat Party now realize they followed Obama, Redi and Pelosi down a rabbit hole that they will pay dearly for in 2012, just like they did in 2010.
Obama wants the USA to be Greece. Americans want Obama GONE.
The Real Truth and Nothing But the Real Truth--"BECUASE they ran on STOPPING Obama and the Democrats"
-------------------------------------------------–
Sorry LIAR, but the Teatrolls elected to the House and to numerous State Houses ran on a jobs platform. THEY LIED! The never passed ANY legislation related directly to JOBS! Instead, they redefined rape, defunded Planned Parenthood, passed personhood bills, waged a war on women, minorities, and anyone else who is not/was not a rich White MALE, passed laws to disenfranchise voters, focused on NON-EXISTENT SHARIA LAW AND VOTER FRAUD, striipped unions....should I go on? Or, do you finally get the GOP has only LIES to gain power. They have no plan for our country and they cannot govern!

Because Republicans promised the ability to supply a quick and easy fix; jobs, jobs, jobs. They lied.
Prosperid
...What? Are you talking about a president trying to put policies through that the GOP has been FILIBUSTERING (record number of times) just to make the administrating look bad.

Democrats had a fillibuster-proof supermajority in the Senate in 2009 and 2010. They made themselves look bad.

Actually Rudy, they delivered on everything they promised. Cutting federal spending and shutting down the Obama/ Reid debt machine and unemployment reducing steadily month after month. They delivered, even with just a majority in The House. They delivered and I am proud of their accomplishments so quickly.
@ Truth – now that the SCOTUS is going to shoot down Obamacare, you're going to see more and more democrats backing away from it... they'll just have to say "well we passed the bill, but now we see what's in it and we don't like it".

Actually, they only had it for a very short time in 2010 because of the election of the Brown Clown.

And they have produced. There has been positive job growth every month they have been in office. There would have been far MORE had the Democrat controlled Senate led by braindead Harry Reid allowed more to be voted on. But he was more interested in protecting Obama than getting more jobs for the American people. Democrats will pay dearly for that in 2012.
