(CNN) – It’s shocking that a country that receives billions of dollars in U.S. taxpayer money can tell an American Congressman that he’s not welcome to visit that country.
And it’s also shocking that the highest U.S. officials – and even fellow Members of Congress – would go along with this outrage.

They may be sovereign, but they owe that sovereignty to us. If we have to conduct oversight, then we must do our job. If the Karzai government refuses again, take away some aid. It's time to bring this war to an end.
Whatever, Wolf. Some of us believe that piglet, that epic idiot, Rohrabacher shouldn't be allowed in Congress, let alone Afghanistan.
The corollary to that opinion would be that we shouldn't be giving money to Afghanistan in the first place, but I suppose that concept has never crossed your mind.
When u hv congressmen that r off message from the administration, then it shouldn't b allowed. Hv these arrogant pompus wanna be somebodies running around forgien countries representing usa, u get the bs that has taken place n uganda w making laws that kill known gays! Thanks congressmen.
I wouldn't let a republican congressman no where near my home, hell they steal anything not tied down
Clearly, the Republican brand is tarnished far and wide. But this guy Rohrabacher is a loud-mouthed clown. And agreed
Data Driven, he should not even be allowed in Congress.
"Shocking"?? Trying your hand at some Faux Noise faux outrage, Blitzy? Give it a rest, you drama queen. If the guy's past statements and behavior towards Afghanistan would cause him to be a distraction from and detriment to negotiations and diplomatic efforts, then he doesn't belong being involved. The POTUS sets foreign policy, negotiates treaties, etc., not Congress, and it's about time the GOP/Teatrolls got a big fat reminder of that.
let him go,maybe do a little shopping, check out some of the tourist spots
Please Wolf, take a deep breath and tell us what these Congressmen were doing in Dubai, what did they
accomplish in Afghanistan, how much does it cost the taxpayers everytime they go over there, and how
long were they gone.
It seems McCain and his sidekick run over there every other month, and we never hear what they accomplished.
I agree about the money, but I will not question our Secretary of State, and neither did Rohrabacher when he
stated "she wanted to avoid a diplomatic crises": Good thinking on his part.
There are many things to be "outraged" about, but it seems to me this is not one of them, or the others would
have come home with him. They did not.
I'm outraged that Wolf wants me to be outraged enough to tune in to whatever it is he's trying to sell for his own personal ratings boost revenue.
Folks ... this congressman is an idiot. He's been living off the taxpayers for thirty years, and contributed NOTHING.
Hey Karzi, how's about you let him into your country, lock him up, and we'll send you billions more to keep him there.
tell jack that jhon macain next V P
I love it when these BIG people get their feathers ruffled. Welcome back to Earth.
1. Rohrbacher doesn't deserve to be in Congress, let alone junketing in Dubai on taxpayer money.
2. Blitzer doesn't deserve to be on camera, let alone shilling for the Republicans on a major network.
Most members of Congress love the sound of their own voice. Regardless, he is a sitting Congressman and should have been afforded the courtesy that position deserves. Karzai's gov't is the second most corrupt in the world and this shows a total lack of respect for our country that is spending billions and costing American lives. Semper Fi
