(CNN) – Former President Bill Clinton, a stalwart backer of President Barack Obama who's already helped the incumbent Democrat raise funds for his re-election bid, said Thursday that Mitt Romney had a "sterling business career" as chief executive of Bain Capital.
That record, while qualifying him to be president, won't necessarily help him win, Clinton said in an interview on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight.'

(CNN) - (CNN) – Nancy Reagan, wife of former President Ronald Reagan, wrote in a statement Thursday she had endorsed GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney.
"Mitt and Ann Romney joined me at my home this afternoon for some lemonade and cookies and I offered my firm endorsement of his campaign for President," Reagan wrote. Romney was in California Thursday to attend campaign fund-raising events. He also made a stop at the headquarters of Solyndra, the failed solar energy company.

(CNN) – Asked in an interview Thursday what letter grade he'd assign President Barack Obama, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney answered unequivocally.
"Oh an 'F', there's no question about that," Romney said in the CBS News interview, saying the grade was for issues "across the board."

(CNN) - Mitt Romney on Thursday took credit for sending a rowdy group of hecklers to disrupt an Obama campaign event earlier in the day, saying he was merely giving some tit-for-tat.
"If the president is going to have his people coming to my rallies, and heckling, why, we'll show them that, you know, we conservatives have the same kind of capacity he does," Romney said at an event outside Solyndra headquarters in California.

The judge said the jury had exhausted every way to reach a verdict during their 50 hours of deliberations, stating that “It was fair trial,” according to CNN’s Ted Metzger.
(CNN) – Sen. Marco Rubio showcased his foreign policy experience at an event on Thursday at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, as another Republican presumed to be on Mitt Romney's vice presidential shortlist visited Israel.
Rubio said he is "convinced without a shadow of a doubt that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program," and reluctantly expects that negotiations with and sanctions upon the Mideast nation will fail. In that case, "a military option may be necessary."
