Wife of Edwards aide sought 'the truth'
Greensboro, North Carolina (CNN) - The wife of a former top aide to former presidential candidate John Edwards defended Tuesday her husband's motivations for writing a tell-all book about him.
"The only reason for my husband to write a book is because Mr. Edwards did not come forward and tell the truth," Cheri Young testified during Edwards' federal corruption trial.

Riiight. How much of that *extra* 7 figure income did you and your spouse donate to charity?
The sleazy Democrat parade just keeps marching on.... Pretty soon there will be more of them in jail than in office.
Edwards was just another arrogant and out of control politician which should surprise no one. The Youngs ought to count themselves lucky that Edwards did not require Mrs Young for his extra marital forays.
I'm so sick of these people and this story. I wish the media would stop covering it. I could care less about Edwards' extracurricular activities nor the money he spent in the cover up. He was not going to beat Hillary or Obama in 2008, which was around the time these acts occurred. Moreover, it wasn't my money he spent on his mistress. What a waste of taxpayer money. This country must let go of its obsession with cheaters. He wasn't my husband nor my choice for president. So who cares?
Don't shoot the messenger. Edwards betrayed the trust of his wife and all of his supporters. He's getting what he deserves.
