Perry: ‘God help us’ if Romney doesn’t win

(CNN) – If the voters who supported his presidential bid aren’t fired up to support Mitt Romney, the GOP had “better get a fire going,” Rick Perry said Thursday.

“God help us if he doesn’t win,” Perry said in an interview on Fox News.

The Republican Texas governor looked beyond differences that emerged on the campaign trail between himself and the former Massachusetts governor, including the financial industry bailout designed to keep “too big to fail” banks above water.

“I think he understands that too big to fail – and I’ve heard him say that on numerous occasions – is not appropriate, and that the economic models of supply and demand - they work,” Perry said.

The issue of bank bailouts made under the administration of President George W. Bush, however, may be a lasting difference between Perry and Romney. While Romney has said he opposed federal bailout of the auto industry – arguing in his “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt” op-ed that a process of managed bankruptcy would serve the company better – he said as recently as March that the financial industry bailout was a different matter.

“There was a different occurrence that happened at the end of President Bush’s term, and this was that there was a concern in the country that all of the banks were going to go out of business, that there was going to be a run on the banks,” Romney said in Arbutus, Maryland. Concerned with the stability of large banks, he said companies were prepared to pull millions of dollars from their accounts, and with that “there was a fear that the whole economic system of America would collapse.”

Perry had a different take on bailouts on Thursday. “Whether it’s Wall Street or motor companies, is bad public policy.”

When he withdrew from the presidential race after a disappointing finish in the Iowa caucuses, Perry threw his support to former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who ended his own bid this week. As the nomination appeared increasingly to be going Romney’s way, Perry made a late April announcement that he would back Romney.

But should Romney not win in November, Perry may have yet another run up his sleeve. He said in February that the 2012 debates “could be” preparation for a White House run in 2016.

So the Republicans are going to settle on an east coast, elite, millionaire from an aristocratic family? What is his experience that will make him a successful Conservative President?
    1. He fires people, lays off employees, and outsources jobs while pocketing the pension funds of those same employees.
    2. He is comfortable in an upper class setting. After all, America IS the upper class, isn't it? The little people, like you and I, are not really very important. People of Romney's class and background see us as livestock that can understand English.
    3. He does not care if Americans suffer. He has made lots of them suffer so far in his life. He's made of tough stuff. No weepy compassion will ever cloud his judgment.
    4. He knows how to destroy corporations and sell off their assets. He could use those skills to destroy the federal government, a stated goal of Conservatism
    5. After the Romney Administration is over in 2016 or 2018, Conservatives will say, "Hey, you can't blame us for the disastrous Romney Administration. He wasn't a TRUE Conservative. What we need is a TRUE Conservative like Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum … or maybe Senator Palin."

GOD HELP US IF ROMNEY DOES WIN! This is a multimillionaire who absolutely cannot relate to the middle and lower economic classes. He has many times made remarks that put him in a financial situation that shows his total disregard for your average working citizen. He basically has no character nor heart and everything he claims he wants to do if he becomes president is to the detrement of the average American family... HE WANTS TO GET RID OF OUR HEALTH CARE, CUT BACK SOC.SEC.,,, CLOSE FAMILY PLANNING FACILITIES ,. his party is already trying to cut back on EDUCATION. He can rightfully becalled "Flipper" because what he says "yes" to today will be" no" by tomorrow. The Republican party has been out to make a failure of our president right from the start saying "NO' to everything he has tried to do..It;s very obvious what they are doing. Their war on women is a reality and women should vote against him and his party or women will find themselves " back in the kitchen ,barefoot and pregnant"!! NO ON REPUBS!!!

Perry called for a Texas state prayer in a sports arena to pray to God to end the Texas drought. One month later the Texas drought had doubled, and a third of the state was on fire....

So Yeah Perry, pray to your Gawd to help you like last time. Obama 2012, by a landslide.

The "fire isn't going " because independent American voters aren't as stupid as the right-wing base in the red states. Independents and moderates of both parties know who caused our economic problems and can see the Repubilicans trying to obstruct all progress. They can see the fat-cats trying to make the uber-rich even richer and giving no support to the working class. They are not the Fox News pawns and will vote for President Obama in the general election.

100% Money Back, Gold-plated GUARANTEE: If Jesus Christ came back tomorrow, he would NOT be a Perry/ Bachmann/Gingrich/Romney voter. The whole right-wing claim of being the Christian party is getting to be painful. Jesus is all about helping the poor and the needy. Perry needs to look deep and ask for forgiveness. He is a fraud as a Christian.

Four years ago, conservatives were predicting that if Obama would ever become president he would compltely destroy America in just a few years. Terrorits would be attacking the country every other week, the bottom would have completely fell out of the market, unemployment would be near 50%, everyone would have their guns taken away, sharia law would have been imposed, society would completely collapse, and an the government would become a communist dictatorship.

Now they are saying the exact same thing. Apparently Obama has been biding his time and saving all that up for his second term.
