Republicans shift burden to avoid defense cuts

New York (CNNMoney) - Surprise! The budget battles are back.

In an effort to avoid cuts to defense spending, House Republicans are pushing a bill that would shift hundreds of billions in spending cuts from the Pentagon to domestic programs, services for the poor and government regulators.

They wouldn't be Republicans if they were not dumping tax dollars at defense contractors.

Defense companies and contractors provide jobs for Americans. One of the few industries that cannot be outsourced. Soooo, cutting defense spending will put all these Americans on the dole. Oh, I forgot, that is the goal of the left. Everybody sitting at home collecting a stipend from the government. The more the left talks, the more I think Margaret Thatcher was right.

don't feel that way about school funding
Government (local, state and federal) has thrown hundreds of billions (probably much more) into the failed liberal controlled, union run failure factories called public schools only to see the kids get dumber, more and more drop out and those that do graduate can't read or do simple math. Money is not the problem or hte solution. "liberal controlled" and "union run" are the problems.

National defense is THE primary role of the federal government. - Still no argument from all the libtards in here that this is not true, because it IS true.

Sorry, free government handouts to coach potatoes takes a back seat. Supporting lazy slackers is NOT a national priority.

Republican in Congress are irresponsible hypocrites. I used to be a Republican when Reagan was around, but these people just plain hate Obama and care nothing about making this a better country.

Where are all of these free handouts you rethuglicans are always talking about? How come I don't get any of them? Maybe you should look at the redneck south where the majority of poor whites make up the majority of welfare recipients. Most people I know work, we don't sit around waiting for handouts. Some do, but most don't.

    OBAMA 2012!
