Team Obama to spend $25 million on May ads

(CNN) – President Barack Obama's re-election campaign will spend $25 million in May on ads in 12 battleground states released Monday, according to senior campaign adviser David Axelrod.

In addition to the large figure behind the positive spots, Axelrod said the campaign would respond to "attacks" from Mitt Romney's presidential campaign and the super PACs supporting his candidacy.

"We're going to treat every one of them as what they are, which is an adjunct to the Mitt Romney effort, and we're going to be tough about that even as we make our positive case … to the American people," Axelrod said on a conference call Monday with reporters. "And we'll wait and see if he can make a positive case to the American people and not just argue that the country has gone through a tough time and therefore elect me president."

Responding to the Obama campaign conference call, Romney spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg said "President Obama would like for voters to believe he hasn't been president for the last three years."

"Americans are disappointed in President Obama's liberal policies that haven't made their lives any better. President Obama just hasn't lived up to his promises," Henneberg said in a statement.

Obama that will be trump change to the likes of Carl rove and his ilk. You need to start pushing your infrastructure modernization, and if these repubs Congress blocks you again, let them answer to their district. Obama we knew you would be an underdog going up against the rich and powerful who control the media. These people are being convinced to give up their own self interest, for the powerful to strengthen China, by moving their jobs their, when mitten cuts our spending power.

I am REALLY looking forward to all those Obamacare advertisements! HAHAHAHA!!!

Obama could spend $25 MILLION A DAY and it won't change the FACT that he's been a failure. Turn on those smoke machines Obama and start pushing out the lies and crank up the smear machine.

If obama would spent as much time and energy on his job as president as he has politicking the economy, unemployment and debt would not be nearly as bad as he has made them.

When a president and his team has nothing to be proud of they go in Absalom's way. They divide people for votes – power.
