Obama's announcement: why now?
(CNN) – Was the president planning on publicly expressing support for same-sex marriage before the election? It depends who you ask.
One senior administration official tells CNN President Obama’s advisors were deeply divided over whether it was prudent to make a public statement on the matter before voters weigh in next November.

Can obama finally going to be truthful about all of his other claims?
Is he really a muslim? One world government? Birth place? Want to see America recover?
How much of the picture the media persented of obama is true and how much is fraud?
Can one believe anything obama says?
Why now? Why him? Why me? Why controversial?
Know who else support gay marriage? Over half the country.
Election 2012, is there any other reason?? Obama will say anything to get reelected period!
He made the announcement now because it's the right thing to do. You can't be a President for all of the people if you're willing to allow a group of self-righteous and homophobic Teavangelicals to attack the rights of any of the people. The government does not need to get into the business of identifying "sin".
because gays immigrants and minorities is all that is left of obamas voting platform.
It was a good move and proof of it is that the GOP is going worried-nuts over it.
The President made a gutsy decision. Just like he did when he gave the order for the Seals to go in and kill bin laden. Most of the folks in the war room were against it but he went with his gut and the man who killed over 3,000+, not counting the Afghanistan war casualties is DEAD!!!
BTW – I hear that the sociobishop has lied about his father marching with Martin Luther King. Can this man, from a church that wouldn't allow Blacks to be members at the time (not sure about now) get any more pathetic and how many more lies is he going to tell? No wonder one of his choices for vp is the rubio boy from Florida. They can share stories about the lies of why their famlies came to or left the US.
Partly because Biden said something. I think that there something that was driving Obama; could be part of his base. I think that there is some concern over the variations in the state rules. What we haven't heard is that Obama plans to send legislation to Congress. If that were the case, then there would more hell raised.
Why now? Because Obama is a honest man who speeks from his hart and experience with gay-people.
It is not strategic because he will win votes for it but also will lose votes among the conservative black voters.
Forward with honesty. My compliments and support Obama!
