House passes bill undoing defense cuts

Washington (CNN) - The Republican-controlled House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday that would replace looming Pentagon spending cuts opposed by the GOP with a series of domestic program reductions opposed by congressional Democrats.

The bill passed in a strongly polarized 218-199 vote. No Democrats supported the measure.

Bill – The name calling. You lost the argument right there.
Nice try. Sir, no matter how inconvenient for you, the fact IS the GOP agreed to said cuts during the debt ceiling showdown. They were to go in place automatically if the bipartisan committee could not come to a deal on cuts. Alas, the committe did not, therefore, as per the agreement, defense cuts were automatic. No renege on the Dems part. That sir, is on one party and one only: the GOP. I will not call you a name, I will say that you are either misinformed or in partisan denial - your choice.
    Cordially yours,

Obama 2012 – BEND Forward America, take another 4 long years of FAILURE

Yeah cut defense... Iran, North Korea, ongoing war in Afghanistan. Nothing to be concerned about. No dangers out there. Obama will just invite them all to Washington have a little talk with everybody and all will be good.
Understand you're mad about your party's flat out lies on a deal. What should concern you more is that your hero went to an illegal war with Iraq and one with Afghanistan simultaneously and paid for it by......cutting taxes. Your credibility is nil.

  4. The REAL Truth...

@BEND – "the Democrats think we need to spend more and more on free housing, free day care, free food, free healthcare, free drugs, free cars, free cell phones, free education, free loans, free retirement..."
Bend, if you could get off your droll troll stool for a minute and back up your spoutrage with some facts, you might come across as (occasionally) believable now and again. The constant puking is more than a little tiresome. Yawn....
