Gingrich to campaign for Romney

(CNN) – Newt Gingrich will step up his support of Mitt Romney next week when he campaigns on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee's behalf at the Georgia state GOP convention, Gingrich's spokesman said Friday.

Gingrich, who represented Georgia in the U.S. House, will stump for Romney next Friday, spokesman R.C. Hammond told CNN. The convention will be held on Friday and Saturday in Columbus, Georgia.

Gingrich ended his White House bid just over a week ago, and said in an interview on CNN's "Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer" that his speech announcing his departure from the race was also his official endorsement of Romney.

Georgia voted in March and was one of the two states whose presidential contests Gingrich won.

Sorry Gingrich, but you don't bring enough money to the table like Hollywood celebs bring to Obama. I think you are looking at Republicans painting ads with crayons and markers and printed flyers on the copy machine. No Spielberg productions here. I don't think Republican campaign ads can compete with Obama's beautifully, well acted, well scripted, expensive ads.

This is pretty bad, Republicans get stuck with Gingrich while Obama gets Clooney-Batman, Downey Jr. and Tobey Maguire-Spiderman and the beautiful Salma Hayek. Sad for Republicans.

All Republicans and most Independents will rally behind Mitt Romney. The main issue is the economy and if there's one thing Obama has proven since 2009 it's that he is the wrong guy to fix anything having to do with the economy. Mitt Romney is uniquely qualified to get America back up and working for all Americans. His time has arrived!

The simp, and the blimp seem to have patched up their differences. Could it be that they really, really didn't mean all those harsh statements after all. Amazing, how simple minded they believe the American people to be.

Nothing will help Romney. Certainly not Gingrich campaigning for him. What was that thing Gingrich called Romney just a month or two ago. Ah yes, "Romney is a liar".
