(CNN) - The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation threatened legal action over the online sale of a vial purportedly containing dried blood from the former president following a 1981 assassination attempt.
"If indeed this story is true, it's a craven act and we will use every legal means to stop its sale or purchase," said a statement from John Heubusch, the foundation's executive director.
FULL STORY(CNN) - Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, frequently mentioned as a possible running mate for Mitt Romney, floated the idea of debating with Vice President Joe Biden and said she would find the situation "quite enjoyable."
In an interview with the Boston Herald published Tuesday, the junior senator said she "would love" to go head-to-head with Biden on the rising federal debt.

(CNN) – Crossroads GPS, the conservative super PAC co-founded by Karl Rove, announced Tuesday it was spending nearly $10 million to air an attack ad in ten battleground states painting President Barack Obama's economic policies as failures.
Jonathan Collegio, a spokesman for the group, said the buy was part of a larger $25 million purchase announced last week.

Washington (CNN) - As it turns out, Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker did talk with an official at the Democratic National Committee following his off-message appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," an Obama campaign spokesman confirmed Tuesday.
Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for the president's re-election team, told CNN in an interview on Monday that Booker was never pressured by the Obama campaign to record a YouTube video clarifying his remarks on the Sunday talk show.

(CNN) – Opponents calling into question Mitt Romney's tenure as the chief executive of Bain Capital are "attacking the American way of life," according to former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu, a top surrogate for Romney's presidential campaign.
Speaking on a conference call Tuesday, Sununu said he was outraged Democrats would attack Romney's track record at the private equity giant.

(CNN) – Arkansas's Democratic presidential primary, which takes place Tuesday, wouldn't ordinarily seem like a political fight. After all, President Barack Obama has already wrapped up the Democratic presidential nomination and is engaged in a heated general election campaign with GOP rival Mitt Romney.
But the Arkansas primary may become another political headache for Obama, who two weeks ago faced an unlikely challenge from a federal inmate in West Virginia's Democratic contest. In Arkansas, the challenge comes from John Wolfe, a perpetual Democratic presidential candidate who has never held political office.

(CNN) – Less than six months ahead of November's general election, Americans are split between President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney, according to a poll released Tuesday.
The Washington Post/ABC News survey showed the two candidates statistically tied with 49% of Americans backing Obama and 46% supporting Romney. When asked which contender would best handle the economy, Obama and Romney were tied at 47%.
