The 'Simba lift' and other stories from the 'embeds' on the campaign trail
(CNN) - Every four years, hundreds of reporters, photojournalists, producers and other journalists take to the campaign trail to document every move of the men and women who want to become president.
CNN is no different. Starting in 2011 and continuing into 2012, we unleashed our team of embeds - producers who are "embedded" with presidential candidates for months at a time and send back the breaking and mundane news from the campaign trail.

If we elect a mormon president we can finally have a first lady, second lady, third lady, etc... wouldn't that be grand? (admitted cheap shot, just couldn't help myself)
It just hit me! My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. He has his food prepared for him. His meals are provided at no cost to him. He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year, if any medical needs arise. For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him. He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep. He receives these accommodations absolutely free. He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick ..........

Another factual tidbit to keep in mind whenever Mittens tries to claim he's responsible for the bailout that saved the American auto industry:
No private money would touch the auto industry, none – including Bain Capital. They were happy to see the industry fail, resulting in hundred of thousands of jobs lost.
President Obama recognized the harm this would do to our economy and directed the funds be released to the auto companies.
Because of President Obama's actions, GM is now the #1 auto maker in the world.
So much for Mittens' skills as a "businessman" ...
