LGBT donors back President Obama, big time

(CNN) - After President Obama announced his support for same-sex marriage, a group organizing a fundraiser on his behalf suddenly had to find a bigger venue. The event, featuring the pop singer Pink, is one of two LGBT-organized fundraisers Obama is expected to attend on the West Coast on Wednesday.

A CNN analysis of President Obama's biggest fundraisers, known as bundlers, shows that at least 33 - or about one in every 16 bundlers - is openly gay. Together, they have raised at least $8 million for the campaign between January and the end of March.

I guess they can overlook his poor performance for the nation for the last 3 1/2 years and the fact that he is just playing them for political convenience now that it is a tough election year? Too bad. I like to think of people as being more than one-dimensional. All people.

That's shocking. Who would have thought that advocating for recognition of peoples' basic civil rights would motivate them to support you?

Go buddies go! Make freedom work. Nothing is more important than exercising your right and what you think make you feel good and happy.

This a basic civil right, why others dictate other wise , I don't understand. So you don't believe, it gives no one the right to take away someone's civil rights. People need to stay out of others personal life and take care of your own.

Why would I vote for the guy who is going to bring a 3rd term of Bush Administration?

Check all of Romney campaign personnels and you will agree with me.

Romney = Bush 3rd term administration

I am just wondering whether he is going to ask Chenney to be his running mate.

So our celebs choose their candidate for certain agenda's instead of looking at the full picture. The people of this country are suffering financially, but it seems that our stars would rather go with an agenda that fits their own needs. They are financially well off so what do they care, total disappointment!!

The very base of the Republican Party couples blind bigotry with ridiculous and cowardly fire and brimstone rhetoric towards the LBGT community. Sadly, this is not the only community that the base of the GOP simply hates because they are different from them. This, in 2012.
    God Bless America.

This report once again proves that Democrats have more money than Republicans and Obama collects more money than Romney.

I like it. This simultaneously defends basic civil rights, shines a spotlight on GOP bigotry, and generally infuriates the tea-party base. Three things I applaud. Go gay power!

@Four – They ARE more than one dimensional. They just don't swallow the same false narrative that our President has been a failure that you do. Perhaps the one-dimensionalism is more of an issue for the narrow minded right.

  16. vote the Tea Party OUT in 2012

    @ myviews

just the Koch Brothers alone prove your comment to be absurd. Just sour grapes because Obama is going to carry the LGBT vote and how ironic it would be if it is THAT particular vote that gives him the victory in 2012. The Log Cabin Republicans and GOPride need to wake up ans see what party REALLY supports their causes and it AIN'T the Republicans. Silly rabbits!!

Republicans do not have to donate to Mittens, because billionaires, Wall Street, banks, and big corporations will come up with $1.5 billion. Banks are people too.

Obama is only agreeing this issue for political reasons. I bet if he was not in politics, he would never accept same sex marriage. I am a black woman and I know the majority of our black men cannot and will not accept this kind of lifestyle. Did you see how Will Smith reacted to the reporter who kissed him? That is so offensive like the n...word to them....they get offended by that kind of behavior. Obama is only playing the political game and if you think he honestly agrees with it then you are very niave. He is only thinking of his own political gain and not whats good for the country.

Unrighteousness in the eye of the religious zealot is not necessarily constitutional.
