New Obama ad calls for Congressional jobs action
(CNN) - The first national cable advertising buy of President Barack Obama's reelection campaign, released on Thursday, calls on Congress to pass a package of economic measures advanced by the White House - and asks supporters to call on Congress, too.
The spot, called "Jobs," features clips from Obama's June 1 speech in Golden Valley, Minnesota, where he pointed to signs that the economy is growing, but not growing fast enough.
It is the campaign's second new television advertisement this week. On Monday, it announced a spot critical of Romney's record as governor of Massachusetts, which a Republican ad buying source said on Wednesday would amount to a $12 million buy.
Growth would be faster, the ad argues, were Congress to pass Obama's American Jobs Act, which involves "ideas to cut taxes to help small businesses hire and grow, rebuild American infrastructure, create pathways back to work for Americans looking for jobs, and cut taxes for every American worker and their families," the campaign said in a statement accompanying the ad.
Romney campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg said in a statement regarding the ad that "President Obama has had three and a half years to keep his campaign promise to grow the economy and create jobs. Now, with record-level unemployment and job creation that even the president calls inadequate, it is clear his policies haven't worked."
Obama has been stumping for the act in recent addresses, and a spokeswoman for the Romney campaign said after the May unveiling of his congressional "to-do list" that "President Obama should follow through on his own 'to-do' list" before he tells Congress how to act."
The ad will air in several battleground states - including Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia - as well as on national cable, the campaign said, calling it a significant buy which will air for a while.
Earlier this year, the Obama campaign announced a $25 million buy on positive ads, and has unveiled a series of Spanish-language spots.

Jobs action? I'd settle for any action. The utter obstruction by the GOP of anything in the Senate is repulsive. The crazy ubber social engineering in the GOP-lead House has me thinkingithat we simply need to bring the GOP up on charges for actively working against the better interests of the citizens of the U.S. They are worse than useless, they are counter productive.
OK, how about this compromise? The House will take this up immediately AFTER the Democrat controlled Senate take up and votes on the 30-40 bills the House has passed and sent to the Senate, and which Harry Reid has deep sixed.
The Do-Nothing Democrat controlled Senate is the real problem. But that will be fixed as well this November when the Democrats get tossed like they were in 2010. The Americnaq people have been paying attention and know where the problem lies.

Isn't it obvious to EVERYBODY that the reason the country isn't recovering like it should is because Obama just didn't pass a big enough stimulus bill??? Instead of borrowing $800 BILLION from China and wasting it, we SHOULD have borrowed $5 TRILLION and wasted it on propping up bankrupt and poorly run states like California, tearing down and rebuilding every bridge in the country, repaving every road, building tens of thousands of empty buildings for imaginy future green business and green energy government agencies, expanded food stamps to ALL Americans, and extended unemployment benefits to 8 years.

I do not know where you get your facts from because they are mostly wrong.

It did not work the first time and only put the nation deeper in debt.
The first and clear point per the independent CBO analysis of the Obama American jobs act is that it would have created 1m to 1,6m jobs, was budget neutral therefore not deficit increasing and would have increased national GDP. So yes it was stimulus but PAID for in full... you may ( for sure??!) not like how it was paid for but thats a separate issue.
By the way your Republican friends are now friggin around with the Budget act agreement to spend more money on defense and not even paying for it in full. You make an agreement and in less than six months renege on it.
Before you reply with Fox news or Rush rhetoric, do yourself a favor, and check your facts first independently.
I think you might just get a shock or surprise or two, or three at least.
