Pelosi: McCain's claims on leaks 'a sad statement'

Washington (CNN) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday dismissed Sen. John McCain's accusation that the recent spate of leaks about U.S. intelligence operations was politically motivated, calling the claim a "really a sad statement."

After the White House characterized McCain's remarks as "grossly irresponsible" on Wednesday, the Arizona Republican stood his ground, releasing a tough statement that repeated his assertion.

Well, McCain's a sad man. Whose sole legacy will be as he who birthed Sarah Palin into the nation’s living room.

McCain's legacy can't be restored not even by making false accusations. Palin did him in and it's quite obvious Republicans are struggling not to make the same mistake again in the upcoming election.

Poor mccain he's just a little old guy still licking his 2098 wounds when he sold any integrity he had for the presidency,
I see he still hasn't gotten over the loss thanks to that bimbo.

  6. Delusional Democrats Whining Crying Blaming, My Dream Has Come True

The only sad statement is Pelosi's sour puss on the Ticker. Thanks for nothing CNN. Now instead of uttering this useless nonsense maybe Pelosi can try and find out WHO in the Obama administration is a criminal for revealing secret information?! I mean the lawless clowns in the Obama adminstration are all over the place but NOW their lawlessness and criminal activity threatens the security of the country and the LIVES of everybody. Of course, worthless Pelosi can't be bothered with such trivial matters. She might break a nail.

I agree these leaks need to be investigated and stopped. That said, McCain is still angry that HE, a war hero couldn't beat the black guy and now we actually have a draft dodger with a shot thanks to the Super Pacs. This is a bitter old man who needs to go and lay down. I remember during the 08 campaign how he kept playing the"little arm" card, like everyone should vote for him because he had been injured. He better hope it wasn't a bagger that leaked the info....

    OBAMA 2012!

Republicans don't care about sad statements. They lost ALL sense of control when the nation elected it's first black president (deny it ALL you want). Along with that civility and one nation under God went out the window and sadly, it will never return and we can thank the TP bigots for that.

Why can't McCain ask the person who published the information were he got them from and come up with his accusations. He really looks less wise by jumping onto conclusion.

I believe you and I can both agree that wasn’t a very nice thing to say.

Inversely, it seems like all the Republicans posting on here lately are all angry White multi-millionaires!

What a surprise the senile old senator would shoot off at the mouth before the facts are known. This coming from the guy who called someone a jerk a few weeks ago when the guy was exercising his right to free speech, the guy who still beleives Palin would have been a good VP, need I go on? Please John its time you faded away. And to "Wake up people" please explain to me why everyone calls him a war hero. The last I heard he was shot down, captured and was a POW. I sympathize with the pain and agony he suffered, but that does not make a hero.

I may be black, but I'm far from angry. This entire election is about race and if you can't see it. Too bad for you. All you have to do is read all the names the POTUS is called. And the first lady. And for the first time in the history of America you have actual members of Congress pledging to not work with a President. All of them should be brought up on charges of high treason. And yes, I will speak up whenever I see racism, gone are the days that you could intimidate us by claiming a race card. I have a race card for you alright....there is NO race card, that is a term made up by racists to keep people like me in our places. I will never be quiet as long as it is going on. And you can take THAT to the bank!

    OBAMA 2012!

Why don't they quiz the Saigon Songbird on his involvement with the N.Vietnamese during his time in prison,Many vets hate him for it,its a fact that circulated for years after his release .His father,an admiral during his time in prison permanently sealed his military records, only the president has the authority to open them. How bout his involvement in the Keating 5,costing tax payers over 3.5 billion in the 80s for his S&L scam, nice guy, what a hero,a real patriot until real facts got out, read up republicans,he is your hero right, you'll got McCain dolls at home betcha!!!
