Tucson, Arizona (CNN) - Voters in Arizona's 8th Congressional District will decide Tuesday who will serve out the remainder of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' term in a race seen by politicos as a test for the fall and by observers as taking the temperature of the nation's political discourse.
On one side is Giffords' aide Ron Barber, who was wounded in the 2011 shooting that critically injured Giffords and killed six other people. His opponent is Republican Jesse Kelly, a former Marine and Iraq war veteran who ran a tea party-fueled campaign against Giffords in 2010 that came up 4,000 votes short.

Jesse Kelly can't tell the truth to save his life.
He is dialing back his teaparty-ness after it was revealed that in spite of all his Obama failed policies BS, his family has made 60+ million in contracts from what he calls the failed stimulus...
C'mon Ron, you're the man.
if the Republicans had any class, then they would not be running a candidate in this race. They should respect the reason the seat is open. It is open because of acts of gun violence, which result in lost and damaged lives. The seat is going to be up for grabs again in five months, anyway.

When have the Democrats ever done this? Never. If there is an election then anybody can run for it. Nice try with the sympathy play though Rudy. Lame but nice try.
If the Democrats wanted to retain it then Giffords should have kept the seat until November. I don't understand why she didn't. I mean she kept it all this time, why not another few months. It wasn't like anybody was calling for her to step down (that I am aware of).
It is very nice to see Gabrielle doing so good with her health. My prayers go out to all the wounded and their families.
Hope they invest that protention $ 240 million of stimulus economic activity back in that state ecomony. Bless.
