KPTM: Romney staff disrespectful to hosts, cafe owner said

(CNN) - The owner of an Iowa cafe which Mitt Romney visited on Friday say the Republican presidential candidate's staff were "arrogant" and disrespectful to her establishment, CNN affiliate KPTM reported.

Romney called owner Dianne Bauer of the Council Bluffs Main Street Cafe to offer an apology, the report said.

A Romney campaign source told CNN they had "assured the Bauers that the campaign would take responsibility for any remaining issues."

hmmm. i dont like hearing this kinda stuff. bound to happen along the way i suppose on both sides. Interesting that she would do/say that even though that kinda event is perfect for publicity and future buinsess. pretty small story for CNN to run with, wonder why...smells funny.

Obama had 4 years, two of which he had 100 percent control of all three branches. If he couldnt do it then he wont going foreward. give ROMNEY a go! OBAMA why did you fail us?

What did Romney's staff say, that the Iowa staff "acting stupidly"? Oh wait, that's what Obama said about police in Cambridge, Massachusetts when they were doing their job. Something Obama knows nothing about.

  4. Republicans - "The Not Intended to Be Factually Accurate" Party

Mitt Romney is devoid of basic leadership characteristics. Can`t imagine anyone followinmg him out of respect. His "boardroom" tactis may have worked in his autocratic CEO-type roles. They don`t work in an environment where you have to inspire people to achieve difficult things. It is little surprise Mr. Romney`s staff was "arrogant" . . . their boss couldn`t dress down Limbaugh calling a co-ed names, or Ted Nuggent threatening the President, or George Zimmerman for stalking & killing Trayvon Martin, or . . .

Romney IS NOT leadership material. Don`t vote for him independent voters.

So I read that Dianne and her husband Earl are experienced at hosting presidential candidates over the years in their cafe and they are Independent voters. Come on, this is obvious.

Clearly this lady was not a Democrat. She referred to Rick Perry with respect but did you all hear how she referred to President Obama. She spat his name out like snake venom. Her feelings were genuinely hurt by how she and her staff were treated and frankly, it sounded like the call from Romney only made it worse. I hope the "Little People" Republicans are paying attention. No, actually I hope Democrats and Independents are paying attention so they don't stay at home or vote the wrong way in November.. Romney cares nothing for those of us below a certain dollar about...

Imagine that, the bishop's peeps being disrespectful and arrogant.
I wonder where they get that from. It can't be from this dumb dumb thinking he is worty of being President.
@obamasupporter gone braindead now – you can't fight filibusters (110 I believe which is the most ever) and you can't fight the teapublikkkans changing 51 to 60 to gain a majority.
    Get it now?

What's the matter, Mitt. The little people aren't quite the toadeaters you thought we'd be? Let's face it ... Mitt just doesn't do the "mingle" thingy very well. Reminds me of his cookie op fiasco.

Memo to TeamRomney: Keep him away from the little people. It's not worth the photo op when the candidate himself can't bother to come across as likeable.

Obama Turned Romney: "Two YEARS of 100% control of ALL THREE BRANCHES?" What are you smoking?!!?! First: the Supremes are certainly tilted to the right (wrong... but who's counting...). And when Ted Kennedy died in Obama's first year, the 60-vote Senate majority went with him (does the name Scott Brown mean anything to you? I thought not...). After that it was Filibuster Haven – total obstruction of any Democratic measure that might in any way help the country. And still... 4.3M jobs created in the private sector, record business profits, stock market recovery, increased foreign trade, regaining international respect, and a vastly improved War on Terrorism. You should certainly ZIP UP: Your agenda is showing.....

Ok, first it was just your name, but then I read your comment. Are you dumb? Or just brain damaged? Do you REALLY think Romney is worth kicking Obama out of office? Just ONE example (of many) that shows ROmney is not fit to lead. He has said, and many of his little followers agree, if he is president, we will see mass lay offs of firefighters, teachers, and cops. And what was the FIRST story on CNN this morning? Colorado is burning and they need more firefighters. But you're precious little Mormon Romney wants to LAY OFF FIREFIGHTERS. How on earth would he be a good president when he HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT????????

This is not that new or different that someone tries to bad mouth a person, remember when some landlord tried to say that Hillary Clinton had destroyed the office space she used for her presidential campaign and accused her staff of putting holes in the walls and leaving garbage everywhere and was looking to get paid. This is no different of people trying to trash a person to get TV coverage, attention. Seriously, you can't take these kind of people serious otherwise Hillary Clinton would be a monster according to that landlord.

    @ Four and the Door

nice try defending your guy Romney..which I guess you would do not matter WHAT he says or does, but the bottom line is President Obama would have NEVER done anything like this to begin with. He was brought up by his mother much better. Romney on the other hand did something similar in NH insulting a doughnut shop owner, remember?

Obama's been on the govt. dole his whole life. Govt. paid for his college, gave him a job ( affirmative action) and now he's a Democrat "welfare" politician. He only understands govt. control.

    Vote Romney for JOBS.

    Vote Obama for more DEBT.

Your comparing Apples to Oranges ,

Seeing that most of Romney's advisers are old GW Bush followers , yes acting stupid is being stupid .

I can understand why GOPers might want to turn this article into an Obama bashing - it's what they do 24/7 - bash Obama. But seriously folks, read the article. Mitt was the problem for the Iowa cafe owner, not President Obama.

The only fail in Obama's Presidency is the GOPTs blocking everything Obama did to promote recovery and then blaming Obama for it.
The Great GOP Recession is on Dubya and GOP controlled Congress, but we can't blame Bush for the GOPs anti-American actions since he left office.

It is fascinating how some people fully knowing that they are seen as lowly peasants in Romney's eyesight will still vote for him.

I do question why this is made so public...I doubt very much that Mitt Romney was mocking her when he attempted to apologize for what his staff had done.
