Senate close to deal to extend low interest rates on student loans

(CNN) - Senate negotiators were closing in on an agreement Friday to extend for one year lower interests rates on some student loans, Senate aides from both parties told CNN.

The aides predicted a deal would be reached and the legislation approved before the July 1 deadline when Stafford loans are set to double from 3.4% to 6.8%.

When the veil is lifted on the corruption between the politicians and the public sector unions the American people will finally start to realize what it needs to do to effect the proper changes that are vital.
After the corrective measures are put in place at the local, state an National levels the next area that should be the college and university systems. I believe it too is bloated by corruption as well.
When market equivalent benchmark applications are superimposed on the whole public sector then there will be enough tax dollars to go around for EVERYBODY who NEEDS it.
