New super PAC ad hits Romney over Bain

(CNN) - The super PAC supporting President Barack Obama's reelection released a new television advertisement on Saturday featuring a man who uses stark terms to describe Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's role in his own unemployment.

"Mitt Romney made over a hundred million dollars by shutting down our plant, and devastated our lives," the employee, Mike Earnest, says in the Priorities USA Action ad. "Turns out that when we built that stage, it was like building my own coffin. And it just made me sick."

That stage, he says in the video, was built by him and other employees of American Pad and Paper, a company which Romney's private equity firm Bain Capital purchased and later went into bankruptcy.

"A group of people walked out on that stage, and told us that the plant is now closed, and all of you are fired," Earnest said.

The Ampad bankruptcy came after Romney relinquished control of Bain Capital in 1999 to lead the Olympic games. The ad uses Romney's name, but makes no mention of Bain.

The ad is part of what Priorities says is a $10 million buy airing in Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Priorities also highlighted on Saturday a New York Times article which reviewed many of Bain's deals. The article says "records and interviews suggest that Bain and its executives still found a way to make money" even when some of the companies they purchased failed.

The Obama campaign used the case of Ampad as a criticism of Romney's private equity past earlier this year.

Financial documents filed with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday showed Priorities USA Action raised $4 million in May.

A spokesman for the group said it intends to spend $25 million by the end of the summer on television advertising.

Mittens was always for government bailouts for the winter olympics, his vulture capitalism, Wall Street, big banks, big oil, tax cuts for the wealthy, but was opposed to the auto bailout. If Mittens ever stood for anything that would help Americans, it would be a miracle.

A bunch of dope smokers attacking someone who has actually worked in their lives doing something other than hanging posters on telephone poles for SEIU. That is so typically democrat liberal and why we have the most incompetent, inept, corrupt, union toady president in history today.

To Four and the Door – In a previous comment, you lamented how General Motors was'expanding' in Asia. True, they are EXPANDING, not outsourcing or shipping jobs there. GM is ramping up operations in foreign markets so they can have a sales presence there. I know you right-wingers hate lessons, especially ones that use your own words.

This is not about the middle class. With Mitt, the America will loose. He has no stand, not clear policies. He change his stance faster than a chamelion changes colors. He change the tone to serve the situation and the polls. The flip-flop is an understatement to describe him. This is not a time to give this country to a man who is like a black box. From his talks and changing policies no one can really gauge what he is planning to do. He has no clear agenda or new solution to anything. For the economy his fix is to apply the same principle we tried for 8 years that failed this country. Yes, the economy is not recovering fast enough. But how it is possible that going back to the policies that bankrupted this country would make things better again ?

Romney judges a person's qualifications to lead based on the depth of one's wallet rather than the depth of one's wisdom. He evaluates a person's net worth based on the value of one's portfolio rather than one's value to their community.

As is the case for many ultra-wealthy conservatives, Mitt's financial success was attained at the expense of the middle class worker and - in an expression of his patriotic loyalty to the United States - by hiding his corporate earnings in offshore accounts.

Mitt "Greed is Good" Romney and Bain Capital had a penchant for buying companies, laying off a significant part of the workforce, rewarding themselves with huge bonuses taken from the acquired company's coffers, and then often selling the company for a hefty profit.

Mitt regards the middle class worker as expendable chattel. He only evaluates businesses with respect to ways to maximize profit margins for the benefit of upper management and the major investors. Behavior which most people would regard as unethical is quickly dismissed by Romney and other corporate bullies as being shrewd.

Legal? Probably, but just because you have the right to do a thing does not necessarily make it the right thing to do.

Reason #64 why Mitt is completely out of touch with 95% of the American public.

Yes, yes-yes, the nation need to know about this Romney guy. The main reason why this economy tanked is because most middle class blue collar Jobs were shipped over seas or down sized, for bigger profits. Which amount to pure unadultarated greed! So it is safe to say Romney is part of this problem that got us here in the first place. Don't vote for the guy who murdered your father's dreams, so he can build his garage with a multi level car elevator.

What about Romney's tax returns for the past 10 years and do we really want a president who keeps his money in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands. Is Romney a guy who really believes in this country?

Well I guess we can quit blaming it all on Bush now. Now we can blame it all on Romney. Never mind that some of those companies that Bain tried to save were beyong repair. So what do the Liberal's and democrats have to offer? The Jobs report isn'r exactly rosy yet.

As Limbaugh said, venture capitalists are greedy and it is all about money. Bain destroyed jobs in the pursuit of greed. Sure, they probably created jobs and made money. But the point is that Bain and its ilk are greedy companies and have destroyed and offshored millions of jobs. It is disgusting and does nothing for the betterment of this country.

Not just the middle class. Everybody, except the 1%.
The stupid and toothless people who might vote for him will also loose big. Only they don't know it yet.
Let alone women, blacks, hispanics, gays, etc. Mormons don't really like anybody too different from themselves.
Like it says in their book that came flying down from heaven!!!

Whiners and losers, who, not always, but often are that way because they just don't try hard enough, are usually jealous of successful people. Romney did not inherit his millions. He used his brain and worked for those millions. Good for him ! He should not be penalized for his success. In fact that is the kind of smarts we need in the White House to get this country out of the hole we find ourselves in.
