Rupert Murdoch's advice to Romney: Get some pros on your team

(CNN) – Rupert Murdoch offered presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney some unsolicited advice on Twitter Sunday: Lose your friends and hire professionals.

The message wasn't the first time the 81-year-old News Corporation chairman has used Twitter to offer sharp criticism of Romney. Last week he slammed the former Massachusetts governor and two-time presidential candidate for his immigration position.

Murdoch's conglomerate, News Corp., owns media properties across the globe, including the Wall Street Journal and Fox News Channel in the United States. In Britain, his newspaper empire includes The Sun and the Sunday Times. In 2011 and 2012, Murdoch has been embroiled in a scandal involving alleged phone hacking at some of his newspaper holdings.

While some of Murdoch's media titles - including Fox News and the New York Post - carry known conservative leanings editorially, the man himself has been known to support candidates of both parties. In 2006, he was reported to have held a fund-raiser for then-Sen. Hillary Clinton, a Democrat, and in 2008, he called then-candidate Barack Obama a "rock star" and praised his education plan. In 2010, News Corp. gave a $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association.

Murdoch, a native of Australia and a naturalized American citizen, is a regular tweeter, sending several messages per week and responding to his followers when they write to him with questions.

Aside from his candid thoughts on Romney, Murdoch also weighed in on this week's bombshell celebrity headline.

"Scientology back in news. Very weird cult, but big, big money involved with Tom Cruise either number two or three in hierarchy," Murdoch wrote.

    Rupert 100% right
Primary is over, still Romney is spending time on convincing GOP base, he is not talking to News media (Fox is opinion media). Rush Limbaugh saying Romney is not ready for prime time
Why his staff protecting him from media ?

A new candidate will help. Rupert Murdock must have read the latest Fox News poll. According to the poll, Obama leads Romney by 5 points. When a Republican candidate cannot win a Fox News poll, it is time for Republicans to look for alternatives.

Romney's "pallin-around" with arguably the most evil fat-cat on Earth – who may still get jail time. This is the man who made a mockery of news journalism by directing Fox News to become a right-wing rag – dedicated to lies and spin designed to get Republicans elected. His commentators are "actors" rather than journalists – the trash of the profession. When asked about class warfare he said "it looks like my side is winning". Romney is with "his people" when he associates with Murdoch.

It's amazing that anyone let alone a US presidential candidate would want to be in the same room as Mr Murdock given the illegal actions of his employees in Britain. Oh! I forgot that Rupert Murdock is a billionaire.

America is about to see just how flawed Romney really is, and no amount of professional help will improve him.

It's only a matter of time before Romney must face the music on obvious matters that highlight his complete inauthenticity. (Romneycare = Obamacare, Bain killed tons of jobs and enriched the 1 percent, Refusal to release tax information, etc..). it's only a matter of time before Romney begins to stammer again before the cameras. This is where he ultimately will be sunk among independents, women and enough young white people to send the Mitt home again.

Real pros Hmmmm makes you wonder who those characters might be! Coming from a guy who was illegally spying on people and whose company was just broken up! Maybe he meant Romney's God lives on a planet near the star Kolob? lol

Why is a major leading media executive meeting a potential elected president? Very dangerous.

Murdoch's giving advice??? Look at those media hacks he has on FOX. They have no credibility. They distort the truth. They aren't news people, they are entertainers. Look at the loud, overmade women who sit facing the camera with their legs crossed. Would you see real honest-to-goodness newswomen doing that???

Typical 0.01% response. Never mind what the people want, MANAGE the election with a corporate team.

The USA is becoming more and more like Tzarist Russia every day. With the Tea Party producing new "Holy Rasputins" by the bus load.

let the new world order take shape, the corporatn take over of the government is almost finalized, now let the raping of the American people, and the killing of any competive small businesses commence. these big corporation's are like big trees in the forest that kills any smaller trees that grows near them to feed on their water supplies, the only problem is that, when big corporations kill small businesses, which hires 76 percent of Americans this is not good, because big corporations hires: robots, computer systems, and cheap Chinese labors. may yah have mercy on our souls if the leader of the new world order wins this election

The only thing Mitt Romney needs to do to beat Obama is to make sure his name is on the ballot in 127 days. The American voters will take care of the rest.

Uh, oh. So, Rupert doesn't think his own hand picked FOX News surrogates are pros ... ?

Only in the land of GOPerville can a mega-billionaire dish out uncontrolled propaganda 24/7 benefiting the presidential candidate he is supporting and then blast that candidate for continuing to be what he has always been - a light weight not fit to become a future President of the United States.

Garbage in results in garbage out and no amount of "real pros" are going to be able to stop Rommey from tripping over himself and being able to hide the fact that he is so out of touch with real people that he might as well be from another planet.

What Murdoch is saying is that He Romney should get professional hackers like he employs. After all Republican wins not by merit (because they have none) but by gossip and how to destroy their enemies by attacking their personal lives. They've been winning election because of this, because they knew the voters likes gossip they can seduced the American voters with gossip because it distract them from noticing that this party of No is pulling the rugs under their feet

Rupert only cares deeply about one thing: WINNING. He sees himself and his media tied to a loser. And he knows that it's easier to keep the base fired up from outside rather than trying to defend Bush 3.0

Forget it Murdoch. The very few real pros in politics know that Romney is an empty ignoramus. No personality, no
credibility, no class, no style. And then he lies all the time.
Why would a pro risk his/her reputation working for a ridiculous, little fool?

With all the help in the world, Romney will never be president! Too many flaws....too much money......too little substantive ideas, only criticizing our President. He is the best the Rs could come up with and he's pretty lacking. Been running for president for 6 years now and no one really knows what his ideas are....won't take questions from media except for Faux news.....has no understanding of the real world most of us live in! Rupert is another billionaire....Mittens only knows those people who own race cars or football teams or media moguls. Our president has had his own hard times, understands what most of us are made of and the lives we lead. He is our only hope for the middle class. Obama/Biden 2012

My adice is to let the Constitution be Romney's guide.
However I doubt neither Party will do that & George was right:

Maybe Murdoch can teach Romney how to bug the phones of Obama's Team Members and DNC Headquarters, after all, it worked for Nixon – for a while.

Murdoch an Aussie and the Saudi prince that owns Fox has no interest in the good of this country and it's people. They only want Romney to win to help out their global interests...Wake up folks or maybe the polls are showing the American people are beginning to.....

Romney takes his marching orders from the President of the LDS. They are protecting him from the sad fact that it is a cult and if elected ,polygamy will be the law of the land. Everyone will have to give 10% of thier wealth to the government or the LDS . They don't dare let the real media inside his cult to expose what is going on. If you think it is bad now ,just wait if Romney gets elected. God help us all. .
