Rupert Murdoch's advice to Romney: Get some pros on your team

(CNN) – Rupert Murdoch offered presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney some unsolicited advice on Twitter Sunday: Lose your friends and hire professionals.

The message wasn't the first time the 81-year-old News Corporation chairman has used Twitter to offer sharp criticism of Romney. Last week he slammed the former Massachusetts governor and two-time presidential candidate for his immigration position.

Murdoch's conglomerate, News Corp., owns media properties across the globe, including the Wall Street Journal and Fox News Channel in the United States. In Britain, his newspaper empire includes The Sun and the Sunday Times. In 2011 and 2012, Murdoch has been embroiled in a scandal involving alleged phone hacking at some of his newspaper holdings.

While some of Murdoch's media titles - including Fox News and the New York Post - carry known conservative leanings editorially, the man himself has been known to support candidates of both parties. In 2006, he was reported to have held a fund-raiser for then-Sen. Hillary Clinton, a Democrat, and in 2008, he called then-candidate Barack Obama a "rock star" and praised his education plan. In 2010, News Corp. gave a $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association.

Murdoch, a native of Australia and a naturalized American citizen, is a regular tweeter, sending several messages per week and responding to his followers when they write to him with questions.

Aside from his candid thoughts on Romney, Murdoch also weighed in on this week's bombshell celebrity headline.

"Scientology back in news. Very weird cult, but big, big money involved with Tom Cruise either number two or three in hierarchy," Murdoch wrote.

Well... let's hope the middle class does not buy what they have to sell... and they will spend billions to convince people to vote against their best interests... You wonder: What do they think will happen if Romney wins and if they go ahead of Paul Ryan's budget?? Do they really think that things will get better for them?

Considering his network, Fox, is a 24/7 running ad for Romney this isa really really interesting development. I'll have to watch Fox to see if the 'spin' has changed at all. Got to give it to the guy, every old person I know only watches Fox News and they believe every word they hear, it's scary!

I think the real Romney does not care for people or anyone else except his rich friends and his own ego. Therefore, it does not matter if he listens to this advice or not. He is going to lose this election as he is on the wrong side of history and has no convictons of his own. He takes on a position and then reverses himself letting his staff explain his poistions, For example, during the primaries, he said he would veto the Dream Act, now he says he will support it and find a permanent solution ot the immigration problem. He also said in 2009 that he supports the Health Insurance mandate, now he says he opposes it. He is against the people to get healthy by having an health insurance. I could go on with these; however, I think the point is that he can neither be trused nor can be relied to serve the people.

Therefore, he will not win should not win. Furthermore, his republican colleagues should also be removed from office by ensuring they lose elections in November 2012.

In other words, replaced yourself Mittens... Mittens sounds good, until they have the head to head debates. He will not have any legs to stand on. Chief Outsourcer, Romneycare (Obamacare with a different color dress), Swiss Bank Accounts, Not having a problem investing his money in Europe where they pay a far greater percentage of income to taxes, but kicks and screams about the taxes that he pays here, which are far less....

Mittens is a slick back haired used car salesman, who believes that he can become a god when he dies, and rule over his own planet.

He is truly a nightmare for the GOP.

    When the destruction comes,
they will be safely in the bunkers that only the rich could afford.
They will arise to a world that has changed.
But they will be alive, and you will not.
Just as in the past, the planet earth goes through changes,
    and only the elite survive.
    Royal DNA must be perserved.

Then they re-start the cycle of cloning the sheep that will keep them rich comfortable and in control.

Most human beings are not sheep.
    They are cattle.
Too stupid to realise that they are being led to slaughter.

You do not own this planet.
    They do.

Mitt Romney's name could have been etched/recorded in history as the father of healthcare for all USA citizens and legal residents just like other greeat people in American history, but he threw it away to appease GOP.

Don't listen to him. Just keep doing what you're doing and you can have the next 4 years off.

Rupert Murdoch, who cares what this man thinks? Romney is a shue in. Obama joins Jimmy Carter as one of the five most incompetent presidents in American history. And Obama tops the list as most dangerous president in American history.

Blake - what are you talking about? You sound very extreme - and a little clueless on the state of this election. Just by typing it doesn't make it true....

As despicable as Mr. Murdock is, he is right. Mr. Romney is running Bush IIII including the chickenhawks all for war in Iran. Between ditching health care and promising war his "trustfund boys" won't ever partake in, Mr. Romney's popularity will die in the ditch. Hopefully, he'll take what left if the lying GOP with him.

Dear Mr Murdoch, you might very well sense that there is a need for Robme to surround himself with a better team, but the truth is, they can't fix what's wrong with him. This is a game to him that he simply wants to win. The GOP wants him to win. They're all about winning, but the world knows the fabric he's cut from. He's too exposed and he can't fool anyone any more. He's rich and pretentious. He's already demonstrated unenviable mettle in Massachusetts, an experiment he tried in order to match his father's accomplishments. Didn't work out. I guess he'll just try his hand at President'n to put himself in a spotlight other than infamous vulture. Actually, he needs a whole new GOP and TP to help his image because the current crowd doesn't really back him...do they?

Should Willard be taking advice from the the man best known for propaganda, yellow journalism, and illegal wiretapping? And why does Willard need to "hire some real pros" in the first place? Murdoch's Faux News is already shilling 24/7/365 for the Grand Old Tea Party's candidate for free right now.

What Romney lacks is character. He has none. He will say anything, do anything to get what he wants. He undoubtly would deny his own Mother if it gave him the Presidency. This man has no business in politics because he has no idea what is going on in our country and he is out of his league when it comes to knowing anyone in the 99%. He already a $100,000 trust fund set up for his sons so the fact that your son doesn't have health care coverage, can't afford college, can't find a job that will give him a slim chance of providing a living wage for him, none of this matters to him. Romney is a shyster and I wouldn't even call him a business man. What did he sell? What did he produce in the marketplace?
Those businesses he cites were started up by Bain getting federal money by using the methods that were not set up to feed welfare to already greedy wealthy people. Bain was a means to acquire great wealth at the expense of middle class and lower economical classes of people. He put them out of work, sold off the businesses and used government money to fund other businesses, some of which failed. He and his friends at Bain became rich beyond ones wildest dreams and they laughed about it. Just look at him and the rest of Bain management laughing and flaunting the dollars they ended up with.
