CainTV promises something for everyone

(CNN) – This Fourth of July not only marks America's birthday but also the debut of Herman Cain's latest media venture, CainTV.com.

Cain, the CEO turned Tea Party activist and former Republican presidential hopeful, guarantees viewers a staunchly conservative news outlet to counter the "one-sided, mainstream" media.

"The time has come for a new kind of entertainment," a teaser video on the site's Facebook page said in preparation for the Independence Day launch.

CainTV.com - a mix of politics and lifestyle news packed into a web platform – tells readers that it's "designed to give you the other side of popular culture, politics, entertainment" delivered in an "Informative, Inspirational and Intertainment" way.

"Hello, I'm Herman Cain. They think we're stupid," Cain tells followers in a short video scrolling across the top of the website, bashing the current administration's gun policies and invoking the recent "Fast and Furious" gun smuggling scandal.

"Without the constraints of networks or Hollywood studios, CainTV can bring you news, events, reports and comedy which you'll never get in the mainstream media," writes Cain on the website. "We go after stories that a lot of people – especially those in power – may not want you to see, and that the liberal press has no interest in bringing to the forefront."

In a series of videos, blog posts and short documentaries, CainTV tackles issues ranging from immigration policy and problems plaguing the Middle East to cooking and the Constitution.

Cain, a businessman with famous, no-fuss political ideas like his 9-9-9 economic plan, which he touted in his presidential campaign, will also start hosting his own radio show on WSB this January, replacing Neal Boortz.

"one-sided mainstream media" huh? So I guess the right wing media isn't biased? Find me a positive story about Obama on FoxNews or about practically ANY Democrat there and we can discuss one-sided media. Doubt if CainTV will be on my cable package anyway. I am still trying to tell them to get FoxNews out of the package but they won't.

Nothing more than a video blog by a man with a runaway ego and a craving for attention. He'll say outrageous, stupid things; the ignoramuses will eat it up; he'll make millions; and the dumber-down of America will continue.

    Pathetic!

He's going "counter the one-sided, mainstream media"? Fox News claim to be the "most watched" and they are without a doubt "one-sided" so I'll assume he's going to "counter Rubert Murdoch's right-wing, 100% dishonest, full-of-crap Faux News.

It has something for everyone alright. Check out the trailer. Google it or something. It's out there. Just keep in mind, if there's something for you in the programming, you could very well be on dope.

Yay, another FoxNews (Lite). Less filling, tastes great! I'm sure it'll be every bit as popular as Sarah Palin's Alaska is. Er, was.
