Romney's June fundraising would buy...

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney campaign said it raised more than $100 million in June, surpassing the more than $77 million it raised the previous months.

President Barack Obama's campaign has not yet released its June numbers, which have to be filed with the Federal Election Commission by July 20. Romney for the first time is expected to have raised more money than Obama.

Romney's June fundraising would buy.... exactly one tenth of what Obama's 2008 fundraising would buy.

It's impossible to believe that any person, group of people or corporation would spend this much to get the puppet of their choice elected. Seems there's a disconnect from those who whine about the economy, and reality where money could be spent for/on tangible goods to bolster the economy, not buy a puppet.

Romney raise money or get money from 1% who dislike Obama when he asks for a fair share for other 99%....I know about that since the beginning of the GOP campaign... but I believe that this great country, the United States of America, no one can buy the election....especially, someone who have many things to hide from American people such as Romney....They are rich ....they use money to buy ads.....but They CAN NOT BUY my Vote.....and I will Vote for Obama....Cheers....4 more yrs!!!

Too bad the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on elections was not used to help those in need. The U.S. political system is a system built on corruption and we have the nerve to talk about other countries. Those with lots of money can get whoever they want elected and then tell the congressman and senators exactly what they want done. Does anyone truly beleive that any senator or congressman who accepts millions from special interst groups with not govern in their favor? If they don't do what they want, they won't receive any more contributions.

Special interest and corporations are buying the presidency....it's that plain and simple...and you don't need a degree from college to realize it. If we,
the working class don't stand up to these people we will become a third world country.

This clearly isn't Mr. Romney's or Mr. Obama's fault, however we are witnessing a simply unbelievable amount of money being raised and spent in this election cycle precisely because of th e Citizens United decison by the US Supreme Court. It woud appear that the office of the President is no for sale to the highest bidder, who will be empowered to control the media through blanket political ad buys.
How anyone can think that this is good for democracy is beyond me. Politics and elections ought to be about ideas and debates, not cash-on-hand.

...or even more important to the nation and all Americans now and in the future, this money will help put Mitt Romney in the White House in January. It's the best way to start an effective economic recovery now and to put the nation on a prosperous path for the future. Well spent money! Everyone benefits.
