Kaine out-raises Allen in Virginia
(CNN) – In the Virginia Senate race between two former governors, Democratic candidate Tim Kaine out-raised his Republican opponent George Allen in the second quarter.
Kaine's campaign announced Wednesday it brought in approximately $3 million in the last three months, while Allen's team said it took in more than $2 million during the same time period.

Allen's campaign, however, announced it had more cash on hand than Kaine, $3.34 million to Kaine's $2.7 million, though the latter figure does not include an additional $3.5 million the Democrat has already spent on fall advertising.
The two are competing in a tight Senate race, largely expected to be one of the most expensive Congressional contests this November.
Kaine and Allen have strong connections to political heavyweights in their parties, as Kaine formerly headed the Democratic National Committee and Allen served as a U.S. senator prior to losing re-election in 2006.
Both candidates raised more this quarter than they did in the first three months of the year. Last quarter, Kaine pulled in $2.2. million, with Allen again behind at $1.4 million.
They're competing to fill the seat soon to be vacated by retiring Sen. Jim Webb, a Democrat.

As a resident of Virginia, Kaine governed better than Allen. Not to mention that I haven't heard Kaine refer to someone as macaca.
democrats trying to buy the election? i doubt the people of virginia will send another obama drone to the senate. they don't want to see the country destroyed.

but joe biden made a racist remark about indians and you put him next in line to the president. i guess everybody just expects joe biden to say nutty things and don't think he is a racist. but what if he is?

As you said, Biden says nutty things, but is one incident proof positive that he is a racist? Nope. Allen more to the point, has more than enough history of supporting irresponsible policies that Virginians should think twice before sending that talentless twit back to the Senate.
why would democrats want to put kaine in the senate if he doesn't support obama in everything? he already won't support obama on the $250,000 definition of rich. kaine might be another joe manchin, a dino, a guy that thinks for himself. can the democrats have that sort of person in their party with all the progressives? the progressives will eat him for lunch when he votes against them or disagrees.

Unlike the GOP, the Democrats have always been a broader based party. The GOP, by contrast, has engaged in Stalin-like purges to make sure the party keeps tacking further and further to the right, thus eliminating their ability to solve any problems.
