Romney teases VP selection in e-mail to supporters

(CNN) - It's certainly not an e-mail that will put the vice presidential questions to rest.

"We're getting ready to share some exciting news," Mitt Romney's campaign manager, Matt Rhoades, e-mailed supporters on Thursday. "Sometime between now and the Republican convention, Mitt will be announcing his choice for VP."

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has repeatedly declined to answer questions about who his campaign is vetting to join the ticket. He broke with that only once, when he told reporters that - contrary to one news organization's report - Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida was indeed being vetted.

Rhoades' e-mail to supporters was also a fundraising solicitation. "Every week until the VP announcement is made, one lucky supporter will win the chance to meet Mitt and his choice for VP," he wrote, asking for a $3 donation for entry into that drawing.

The Republican National Convention begins on August 27 in Tampa, Florida.

He's just trying to divert attention from his Bain and tax troubles. Not going to work! WHERE ARE YOUR TAX RETURNS!

Trying to divert attention away from the Bain issue will not work. That VP (quick, scramble, pick somebody, beg somebody) had better be prepared to face a brokered convention if Willard makes it that far.

It's either going to be Portman of Ohio or Condi Rice.

Let me see if I understand this. You can win a chance to meet the vp nominee but that nominee won't be announced until the convention? Gee, I wonder what the odds are of that name being leaked.

I am waiting Mitt. I am going to vote for you no matter what. Can't take another four years of O, but please pick a vp that will make the GOP rally around the country bigtime. We need some momentum going. P.S. please start getting nasty.

This is what the rich and powerful do: cover up their activities and make it look like something more legit was going on. Willard is a master concealer of everything he did and is still doing. He won't release more than one year's worth of historical tax records. He won't explain how intimately he was involved and responsible for closing businesses that were actually making a profit in the U.S. but were closed and outsourced to China so Willard Romney could get filthy rich at the expense of suffering American workers and families. Mitty boy has a laundry list of things that would cause every voter to turn their backs on him if they only knew the truth. But Willard is protected by the Republicans in Congress and by the wealthy corporate CEOs.

When Bush was elected, there was a British journal that had a head that read "How can so many millions of Americans be so dumb?". It's happening now too with Willard. The GOP is using denial and deception tactics and techniques to confound the masses into mindless and irrational behavior through their psychological warfare tactics.

Americans need to wake up fast to the truth.

To quote Mr. T "I pity the fool" that accepts this job. (It will only be a temp job, it will last until November, then the VP pick can have lunch with Sara Palin

Honestly it doesn't matter who he picks. The GOP has painted themselves as obstructionists against everything not on the Tea Party or Norquists agenda. I'm not saying I approve of the Obama Administration either, but we have to choose from the better of the two.

Romney has so lied about his pass, he is a loser, no VP will help him win. I am amazed a good Mormon lies so much.

Do not pick Condi – no, no, no, – she was useless as Sec. of State – she says all the right things but is not a leader. She will turn out like another Dan Quayle/Sarah Palin – pick a boring middle of the country governor – don't do something like this, it can't help you, only hurt you – none of the Dems will switch over for this, especially African Americans
