Hillary Clinton: Romney ads featuring her a 'waste of money'

(CNN) – She's been featured in two negative television ads from Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, but Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday the spots would have little effect on voters who already know the story of the 2008 Democratic primaries.

Speaking in Jerusalem at the tail end of a two week diplomatic trip, Clinton said in an interview with CNN Foreign Affairs Reporter Elise Labott the spots were a "waste of money."

"I am out of politics, and I haven't seen any of the ads that you're talking about," Clinton said. "But I have to say it's a waste of money. Everybody knows I ran against President Obama in 2008, that's hardly news. Everybody knows we ran a hard fought campaign and he won. And I have been honored to serve as his secretary of state."

Romney, engaged in a heated battle with Obama for the White House, has released two spots featuring Clinton from her 2008 Democratic primary battle with the then-Illinois senator. The first ad, released at the end of June, uses video of Clinton campaigning against candidate Obama in Cincinnati ahead of the 2008 Ohio primary.

Clinton accused Obama of "blatantly false" attacks against her in campaign mailers, which Romney used to highlight a fact check by the Washington Post calling one of Obama's current ads "misleading, unfair and untrue."

A second Romney spot, released last week, responds to one of Obama's latest slams that claims Romney's former private equity firm, Bain Capital, in part specialized in advising companies on 'outsourcing.'

The new ad recycles a quote from then-Sen. Hillary Clinton in 2008, when Clinton fired off on Obama over her opponent's latest round of blows.

"Shame on you, Barack Obama," Clinton says in the clip.

The Left is defined by self-righteous hypocrites. Obama is a 1%er, so figure out what his taxes should have been and what he actually paid. Why did he take deductions and rearrange his finances to pay a lower tax when he spouts off nonsense all the time about the tax code. A simple look at yourselves (and anybody on the Left who paid a lower tax rate than their bracket – which is likely every one of you that pays taxes which is probably about 2% of the Left – ask Geithner) might curb some of your imbecile comments.

Hillary, wise up! When you least expect it, Mr. Obama (The Liar-in-Chief) is going to quash you like a bug, then throw you under the bus with no regrets.

I love the presidents continuos and unfounded/misleading attacks on Mr. Romney. The fact is that while Mr. Romney was creating jobs (Staples, Sports Authority, Bain Capital, etc.) and saving the Olympics (which he did) Mr. Obama (The Camillian-in-Chief) was smoking pot and hanging out with Bill Ayers (terrorist).

We Americans are starting to get it though. Most of us are starting to see through the smoke and mirrors. When you have NO real accomplishments to speak off, the economy continues to tank, there are over 23 million unemployed adult Americans, there are even lesser jobs for our youth and college graduates; there is not much you can do to justify your stewardship of our once great nation.

The REAL sad part is that there are still some Americans that continue and enjoy "Bending Forward."

Oh well... To each his/her own!

Put THAT in an ad Robmey, you can book-end it with the detailed, and on-point character asessment of you that Newt and Santorum offered up to anybody that would listen free of charge.

The harshest criticism I've heard about Romney is from Gingrich and Santorum. It's common to have dirty fights in the primaries.

Romney in the battle of Gotcha will lose again. The things said about him by his 2012 opponents far outweighs anything said by Hillary. Republicans are usually pretty good at his game- not so Mitt.

Poor Mittens Rawmoney is really getting desperate as it becomes increasingly apparent that he is going to lose in November. His trashing about to find an acceptable campaign theme is getting more and more frantic. Let's just hope he takes a lot of Republican and tea bagger congressmen and women with him when he falls.

Which Mit Rmoney will you vote for: the one who left Bain in '99 or the one who left Bain in '02? I can't wait for the "Vulture Capitalist" interview on Fox news with Governor Perry to be televised–after all, those were Perry's own words...

. Romney needs to launch ads attacking Obama Citizenship. It is still not proven he is a citizen of this country. Obama also needs to launch ads about Obama's friendship with Hugo Chavez and his gun sales to the drug Cartels for campaign cash. Also how he refuses to enforce laws on immigration

My biggest issue with Romney is that he could end up as the puppet for the Koch brothers and the riches. I suspect his "flip-flop" is an attempt to please different groups of big donors. Maybe that's why he has not shown any commitments on any major issues – afraid to upset the big donors.

That means he is not for the people. He is for the master behind him. How can anyone make a right decision with such a big load of baggage.

It is not a waste of money. It is going towards a good cause. It shows what Romney thinks. Romney thinks that public has no brain. Let Romney more ads like that.
