Celebs open their wallets in White House race, mostly for Obama
(CNN) - Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman made headlines recently for his sizable $1 million contribution to a pro-Obama super PAC, but he's hardly the only celebrity who cut a check in support of a presidential hopeful.
Members of the entertainment industry have a long history of sending money to their preferred presidential candidates, usually but not exclusively to Democrats. Below is a non-comprehensive list of some of the celebrities past and present who made a donation in May or June to the major political committees involved in the 2012 race for the White House.

what I did find interesting here reading some of the posts is that it appears in order for some people to support certain entertainers they have to share the same political views. There were some here that said since so-so supports Obama or Romney that they will NEVER go see a moive or buy a recording by that person again. Very interesting.

Celebrities openly support Obama while the Republican backers form huge PAC's so that people won't know those backers are from the top 1% of the super rich. The Koch brothers throw million after million into Tea Party finance groups as well as other ultra-conservative ads which are designed to benefit the upper reaches of the wealthy.
Romney does not supprot the United States. He hides his money abroad to avoid paying his fair share of taxes. He claims to have had no dealings with Bain while they were outsourcing American jobs and destroying American families, yet he signed over 200 orders to do so as the CEO up to two years after he claims he stopped.
Romney knows nothing of the problems facing the average family. If the average families car breaks down, they could be forced to choose between repairs and food. Romney would just use one of the spare Caddilacs. If the average family has someone with MS they might have to choose between medical care or falling behind on their mortgage. Romney got the finest care in the world for his wife and bought her horses and an arena for "Riding Therapy".
