Why is Mitt Romney campaigning from overseas? Just because you state that you will not insult your political foe abroad, should also mean that you shouldn't make statements while abroad that your opponent would want to refute. Add another click to the Gaffe-O-Meter. It's sitting at "5".

There are precious few occurences or events in anyone's life that prepare them, experientially, for the presidency. It is possible that Washington's experience as the leader of the Continental forces during the War for Independence was preparatory. It is likely that Eisenhower's experience as Supreme Allied Commander provided relevant and comparable experience. But it is certain beyond any doubt that organizing Olympic games does not. Mr. Romney is delusional, possibly dangerously delusional.

Did it help you see just how helpful the government can be when dealing with a big and difficult problem? For example needing hundreds of millions for the Olympics, poverty, healthcare, equal rights. freeways and bridges, man on the moon, military action when warranted, including taking out the #1 enemy Bin Laden. Yes indeed, the Olympics should have taught Romney something – but apparently, he's a slow learner.

The problem is that goverment bailouts in the amount of $1.2 billion saved the Salt Lake olympics. If Mittens thinks that getting bailouts makes you a leader, he is not ready for prime time.

This man will say anything to anyone under any circumstance.
At home, he said his business experience helped him best to manage Olympics.
Abroad, where no one knows who he is, claimed his Olympics experience helped him governed Mass.
Well based on his Governing record, none of these experienced helped Romney. He has a record of 47th rank in job creation.
He offshored American jobs.
None of these qualifies him to be president.

You know what else helped Romney.. millions in GOVERNMENT FUNDING.
He does realize there is such thing as documented history of what actually happens in this country, right?
He's making it too easy.

OK, then.
So, will Mitt be passing out Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to GOPer folks who endorsed him, or is he speaking metaphorically as in "I needed a Government bailout to keep the 2002 Olympics on track and understand that Red State America ... indeed, ALL of America, constantly needs Government bailouts too - scratch my back, I'll scratch yours - mentality?
Otherwise, Mitt - as usual - is way off base with his Olympic porportioned superiority complex syndrome.

And yet Obama holds the GM bailout as showing leadership. So by YOUR definition Obama is NOT ready for prime time. But of course, we already knew that from his performance over the last 4 years.

I know which guy has a better understanding of what's needed to improve the people of the middle class. They guy who used to be one. And now Obama has FOUR yrs under his belt. That's WAY more experience than Willard will ever have. Let's not forget that his 2002 Winter Olympics (those are the smaller ones BTW) experience sure did get him experience at working with the Federal handouts/bailouts that he's NOW so adamantly whining about. Without the US Govt assistance, his Olmypic dream would have ended up in the trash.

Of course Governor Romney is more qualified than President Obama and Obama is in over his head and has been getting on the job-training but he still doesn't have the academics for the job. Unfortunately, Obama didn't bother to even work in the real world or work in a government office or run a state or city and get real experience. He was a community organizer getting people to take action, protest, worked part-time as a Lecturer and only worked 4 years as a junior lawyer, that's it for work experience, never dealth with budgets, bills, staff, permits, rules, etc... This is why he's not the right man for this job and we can't afford another 4 years of President Obama.

The problem with the Olympic comparison is that the presidency doesn't have one set of events that have an end point but is a constant set of problems that creep up and require constant attention and revisement of plans. The Olympics eventually ends for one host city.
