Romney aide loses cool, curses at press in Poland

Warsaw, Poland (CNN) - The traveling press secretary for Mitt Romney lost his cool and cursed at reporters who attempted to ask questions of the Republican presidential candidate in a public plaza near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw Tuesday.

After Romney paid his respects to Poland's war dead and shook hands with a small gathering of the nation's military veterans, the GOP contender walked approximately 100 yards away from the memorial as he chatted with Warsaw's mayor.

As Romney made his way to his vehicle, reporters attempted to shout questions to the candidate. The former Massachusetts governor, who has answered only three questions from his traveling press corps during a week-long overseas trip, ignored the queries. Romney did sit down for multiple interviews during his foreign swing, including with CNN's Piers Morgan and Wolf Blitzer. Romney also spoke with NBC News, CBS News, ABC News and Fox News during his trip.

When members of the press tried to ask Romney about some of the mishaps on his trip, his traveling press secretary Rick Gorka verbally dressed down reporters.

Here's a transcript of the questions and Gorka's response:

CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?

Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"

CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!

Gorka: "Show some respect"

NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."

Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."

Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.

Gorka's comments to the media came just hours before Romney's foreign policy speech in Warsaw.

Aides to the GOP candidate say Romney visited Poland to highlight the nation's growing economy and honor its contributions to the war in Afghanistan.

The difference between the two campaigns could not be greater. This candidate answers nothing and when he does he winds up having to take back his first remark and make a clarifying remark. Our President, on the other hand, when he holds press conferences takes questions from everyone – so obvious when you hear the questions that he isn't afraid to answer ANY question – why? because he has NOTHING to hide! Unlike Romney who obviously has EVERYTHING to hide – his true business back round, his taxes, and most important of all – his positions on ANYTHING – he flips and flops so often that he appears not to stand for ANYTHING!!

Maybe Gorka should have shown respect for the dead. Romney is not ready for prime time and this is a fact. This man has sold his soul to the devil to become president. For a person with two degrees from Harvard he acts like a male Sarah Palin. His father must have endowed a lot of money to Harvard for him to get those degrees. Romney is just a spoiled rich brat who thinks that he can buy the presidency. We are not buying it. He and his entire family walk around with their noses in the air. So let them stay out of the lime light, because they are an embarassment. He has enough money to make him happy for the rest of their lives. I can not imagine these people in the White House period.

If this is the aide's response to the media, can you imagine what Romney's response would be? It would make rap music appear great for children to listen...

This country that Rob-money tries to make out as a free-market heaven has a state controlled healthcare system, funded partially through compulsory individual contributions (i.e., individual mandate). It seems to be far better than the healthcare system in the U.S., but Rob-money will never mention that. It also has strong trade unions, who have distanced themselves from Rob-money's visit. All the things Rob-money criticizes Obama for are present in spades in Poland, but let's just keep those facts to ourselves, okay?

I'm not happy about this at all. You make me have to side with Romney.

Hyenas. A gaggle of tabloid hyenas is what it sounds like and yet, these reporters are representing these agencies. I care about all those questions and quite frankly, Mitt Romney as is corrupt a politician as they come falsely representing facts and distorting argument, however this about Poland.

This entire trip of his characterizes the entire United States as a conceited, narcissistic nation who disregards the laws, customs, holy cities, shrines and further incites age-old rifts between customs without regard. It's not just Romney. It's the press.

I'm with this Gorka guy entirely. Shut your frickin' disrespectful mouths and each would have felt my empty glove across their face as well, French-style. "Mr. Romney! Do you think .." [THWAP!]

America wake up and stop acting like an only-child Aries. The world does NOT revolve around you and in foreign nations, you're not nearly as important as you think you are. You are not the centers of the universe and you have a dreadful taste in movies... ...now, as you WEREN'T.

It's a dog eat dog world out there. I'm sure these reporters have heard worse banter in their careers.
