Potential VPs to hit the trail with Romney

(CNN) – Mitt Romney will be joined by a trio of potential vice presidential picks on his upcoming bus tour through four battleground states, sources confirmed to CNN Monday.

The presumptive GOP nominee will stump with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Sen. Rob Portman on his tour, which begins Saturday.

CNN's Peter Hamby first reported Romney's bus tour last week, noting that he would be joined by GOP heavyweights on his stops.

The Republican candidate's campaign announced Monday they were dubbing the trip through Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio "The Romney Plan For A Stronger Middle Class."

McDonnell, Rubio and Portman have all been the subject of media guesswork as potential running mates for Romney, though each has declined to speculate themselves on becoming the vice presidential candidate.

CNN's Steve Brusk contributed to this report.

"The Romney Plan For A Stronger Middle Class."

Gee, Mittens is proposing all the failed Bush/GOP policies that resulted in a huge redistribution of wealth upwards, a shrinking of the Middle Class, the Great Recession, record outsourcing of Middle Class American jobs, and very little "job creation" here in the states when taxes were cut for the rich.

My bad, I was assuming by "stronger," Mittens meant more prosperous, when he obviously means to leave standing only the lucky few who don't get wiped out by his policies.

    Obama/Biden 2012 = The only sane choice

Gov. Bob McDonnell can't even win VA for Romney – So I don't even know why he is being considered!!

Trying out potential VPs = finding someone who (hopefully) will replace flip-floppy, lying, no-core Mormon Mittens when he dies in office

The entire republican party is one big invasive procedure. So, it will be good for our country when they are once again rejected.

If Mittens does not get the vote suppressed this election, Mittens could be rejected even more than Barry Goldwater was.

Romney is going to choose Portman. He needs to choose someone blander than him. Rubio will steal the spotlight like Palin did with McCain. And for those who think Rubio will help with the latino vote.....think again. Rubio is Cuban. Cubans have a different set of rules than other latinos when it comes to immigration. Other Latino groups are not going to vote for Romney because of Rubio.

OMG....is that the best old Mittens can do? Pathetic. If money buys this election, we are all in trouble. That is of course unless you are one of the 1%. Show us your tax records, Mittens! We won't let this go, especially not after the crap the birthers created for no good reason; pure hysterics.

Big shame that 4/5 Decent politicians are going to get messed up in their career by running with or associating with Romney as a VP candidate. This loser will never get elected due to his past and present denial of bringing to light the honesty a President needs to make .Most of his money in oversea destinations to avoid American taxes. The American public isn't buying that tail and he will never get elected.

The three potential VP candidates are sadly in the same league as Palin. What a pitiful and deficient list of potential VP canddiates.

I sure hope this does not show up twice, if so I am sorry. Let's see, first we have governor ultrasound, then actually senator Bush economic policy, and finally senator my family were political refugees before they weren't.

That is Governor Ultrasound you are talking about, governor of Virginia. Seems like the only one who doesn't have any baggage is Portman of Ohio. He seems to be well-liked by even Democrats (well, that won't be allowed!) and he is just as boring as R-money. But in the grand scheme of things, who cares? Romney Hood will never ever be president. Sorry. LOL.
