Biden to NC and Virginia next week

(CNN) - While President Barack Obama campaigns in the swing state of Iowa next week, Vice President Biden will stump in two other battleground states.

The Obama re-election campaign announced Wednesday that Biden will campaign Monday in North Carolina and Tuesday and Wednesday in Virginia. Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney stumps by bus in those two states this weekend.

Four years ago Obama and Biden became the first Democratic ticket to carry Virginia since 1964. According to a Quinnipiac University/CBS News/New York Times poll released Wednesday, 49% of likely voters in Virginia say they support the president, with 45% backing Romney, the former Massachusetts governor. Obama's four point edge is within the survey's sampling error.

In North Carolina, an NBC News/Marist poll conducted in late June indicated the race all knotted up. Obama and Biden also carried North Carolina four years ago, the first Democratic ticket to take the state since 1976.

What the republicans have done to our country just stinks. Thanks to their idiocy, America lost 8 million jobs from 2005-2008. The most inept speaker in history will not allow a vote on the senate's bipartisan jobs bill. At some point, republicans have to take some of the blame for the 8.3% unemployment rate.

Is he going to tell them it is the "summer of proseperity" again like he did in 2012? It will be interesting seeing what idiotic thing comes out of his mouth on this trip. The man should do something that comes naturally for him and that he cannot screw up, like watching the Olympics.

But George, in January 2009 Joe Biden's Number One Job in the new Obama Administration was,"..to look out for the middle class working people.". What happened? Did he forget? The middle class in the last 3 years have been hit hardest of anyone. In fact, the Obama Administration so far probably ranks up in the top worst periods for the middle class in American history. Was Joe asleep at the wheel?

If Mitt Romney wants to talk tough, then I think Obama/Biden need to adopt a good guy/bad guy approach. Let the Vice-Pres. be the ferocious attack dog. Let the President be the adult in the room talking about pollicy in a 2nd term.

Grown up? "Romneyhood" is grown up?? Sounds more like 3rd grade. And exactly what policies WITH SPECIFICS is Obama talking about? NOTHING. NONE of the stuff the Democrats did were his ideas. He was lead around by the nose by Pelosi and Reid. Obama has ZERO policies or plans as he is NO LEADER.

"And exactly what policies WITH SPECIFICS is Obama talking about?"

Why don't you go to his campaign's website and READ all the specifics instead of pretending he doesn't make any public. There's plenty there that proves you're jsut projecting Mittens' failures onto Obama. I won't expect you to quite comprehend it all though, not with that tinfoil hat still balanced on your dome.

Obama 2012-BEND, and exactly what specifics has Romney talked about? do you know which incentives he wants to cut in order to pay for his 20% tax cut? how is he going to improve education? exactly how is he going to add 12 million jobs in 4 years? after your candidate comes out with exactly what hes going to do..then come back and talk

North Carolina and Virginia use to be reliable Republican red states. I am glad to see the fight going on the states Republicans use to take for granted. It makes it that much harder for Mitt the king of job outsourcer to win the election!

The radical-right love to hate real Americans who stand up for the middle and working class Americans and Joe Biden is the poster boy.
Joe's a decent guy who loves his family & country, works hard, and isn't perfect but has BIG heart. The GOP and their followers hate him for it.
