Obama campaign statement on Ryan selection

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's campaign manager, Jim Messina, issued a statement on Mitt Romney's running mate selection as the candidate announced his pick in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday morning:

"In naming Congressman Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney has chosen a leader of the House Republicans who shares his commitment to the flawed theory that new budget-busting tax cuts for the wealthy, while placing greater burdens on the middle class and seniors, will somehow deliver a stronger economy. The architect of the radical Republican House budget, Ryan, like Romney, proposed an additional $250,000 tax cut for millionaires, and deep cuts in education from Head Start to college aid. His plan also would end Medicare as we know it by turning it into a voucher system, shifting thousands of dollars in health care costs to seniors. As a member of Congress, Ryan rubber-stamped the reckless Bush economic policies that exploded our deficit and crashed our economy. Now the Romney-Ryan ticket would take us back by repeating the same, catastrophic mistakes."

If you are a poor, middle class or older Republican and you "Like" this duo–you are mere lambs to the slaughter...doing what you are told without any true consideration.

Thank you Mr. President, your stellar policies and success in your first term have left no doubt in any Americans mind that you deserve a second term without a glance at anything those scurilous, lying curs in the Republican party have to offer. You should prepare for your second victory and not even bother campaigning further.

President Obama calls Paul Ryan;s theories flawed. Ryan wants to cut government and give aways and pay the bills for a change. Obama has plunged this nation into debt more than any President in history, though George W. Bush had the prior record. I think we American's will lose, regardless of who is the next President.

If you want to continue your free ride from the tax payers vote Obama if you want to have to work vote for Mitt that's what it comes down to with 48% of the people not paying taxes the don't want anything to change but i for one is getting a little tired of paying for kids I didn't have anything to do with making them, lazy second and third generation people on welfare, and not making our leaders accountable for their spending then vote Obama.

It has nothing to do with any class but has to do with what's good for the Country.

  10. The Elephant In The Room

For the past 30 years, with the exception of the 8 years of Bill Clinton, the Republican Party has ruined America`s finances with Voodoo, TrickleDown, Tax-cuts-for-Job-Creator economics. Picking Ryan is an attempt to continue, in fact, to RESTORE another 30 years of that legacy.

If the majority of people, and specifically white, working class, "lunch pail" Americans FALL FOR THE GOP TRICKS again, then they are complete idiots. All the false claims against Mr. Obama regarding less strict "Welare claims" is dog_whistle politics designed to allow the elite Mr. Romney to try and bond with lower income people, It won`t work.

Fpr once in 30 years people, vote your true self interests. Only under a Democrat, Clinton have we seen budget surplus in 3 consecutive years. Republicans can`t do it.

Wow! Ryan to LEAD AMERICA over the CLIFF and into the GATES of HELL! Wake up people! That team will LEAD the MIDDLE CLASS into POVERTY and SLAVES for the RICH!

Republicans are trying to restore the American Dream. Where if you work hard you can be successful. Despite the rhetoric coming from the White House, success is not a bad thing.

what a gift to the democrats! one of the leaders of the worse house of reps in our history! passing bills that have never had a chance of passing the senate or the presidents desk! good examle passing a health care repeal bill over 30 times! 2 full years of part time reps playing to the news networks while throwing all americans under the bus. when you knowingly do things that will never make any difference thats the same thing as doing nothing! if ryan was in the real business world he would have been fired long ago because right or wrong he would been seen as not promoting the company!

At last someone with a Financial and Economic background.
I question whether the President ever took any economics courses above 101. I also wonder if he wrote his thesis on how to destroy a democratic market drive economy by increasing its debt. We'll never know because he hasn't released his transcripts or thesis statements like any grade school teacher would be required to do. Let's demand that he do this so each of us will know what his philosophy is and what his academic qualifications are; why should we accept that a key politician can elect to hide his past.

Like Obama knows what he is talking about, the guy who never bothered to study economics, finance, accounting, mathematics and the guy who never bothered to work for the city, run a city or a state, the guy with no hands-on working experience got the job of president. Seriously, Obama tells people an education is important yet he didn't bother to get an education for the job he was aiming at. Now Clinton was a governor, hands-on experience and he tried it a business. Paul Ryan has worked all kinds of jobs, he truly knows what it is like to have to work while Obama on the other hand never worked a real job and yet he managed to pay expensive Harvard Law School and the other schools he went to.

You wouldn't know Economics, Accounting even if your job depended on it. Like you know what you are talking about. What a joke.

Big business is in control. They risk their money building a business; that gives them the right to be BOSS. Fight them and die or join them and hope they will be wise enough to know their best interests will be served with a happy healthy work force
with the ability to buy their products.

Now America's will have a chance to be proud once again of our county, for the Romney/Ryan ticket will give us that chance. As an American , I for one am tired of the slap in the face action of the Obama administration. I used to be a Democrat, but for the first time will vote along with friends and family Republican. It is time for the Democratic Party to really take a good look with in it's self and see what they have done to this great nation by way of the Obama/Bidden administration. It is for them, easier to blame other for their lack of leadership, than to own up to their mistakes . As you see in European Socialistic government eventually all those who get paid by the government , eventually that government runs out of money and the people suffer the most, for the ones running the government make sure first that their pockets are full before the people's.

Distorting the truth is the only ticket Obama can play, he has nothing else to run on and doesn't know anything that has to do with economics, mathematics, accounting. This is the guy who is always passing the buck to someone else to answer on his behalf because he doesn't knowwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!
