Paul Ryan economics: 5 things to know
New York (CNNMoney) - In picking Paul Ryan as his running mate, Mitt Romney has made clear what this year's presidential election will be about: Taxes, spending and the future of government programs in people's lives.
Ryan is the leading Republican thinker on budget issues in the House and his 2013 budget proposal - released in March and called "Path to Prosperity" - takes aim at many of President Obama's policies and proposals.

When you actually read his plan (I know that the NEA deplores teaching people how to read) you will see that he doesn't throw granny off the cliff or any of those other nasty lies the liberally biased media, dope addicts and welfare frauds are sayiing. Just uses good common sense to actually try to fix a problem. Unfortuntely, as we saw from Obamacare democrat liberals don't read and just rely on what their corrupt union leaders and poverty pimps tell them.
... and cuts social and welfare programs to give rich tax cuts... seems fair to people dreaming of becoming rich, well, newsflash: JUST A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF RICH PEOPLE WERE BORN POOR! The majority inherited it (like Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan, both of them had their back covered always by the fortune of their families) or came from a well-to-do family....
BTW, where are those tax returns? Is Mr. Ryan going to duck them like his new boss?

Where are the Romney tax returns? This announcement will fill the airwaves and internet for a few days, distracting from what Romney is trying to hide. If there is nothing controversial in those returns, put them out there. But off-shore accounts and tax dodging would expose his greed. When is a hundred plus million is not enough? When you can't get enough, no matter how much you have. Yeah, this is a guy that feels your pain.

All sounds good in the beginning when they finish the processing out put will be favor the top 1% and bottom 0.1%
Romney made the best decision with picking Paul Ryan. Cutting education and completely shutting off all Pell Grants to 1.6 million college students ?, Sending Social Security to Wallstreet do decide on it's future ? Dismanteling Medi-Care ? This truely is an important presidential election. Everyone has to diesect Romney & Ryan ! Be careful who you put in the White House. It is our future as we know it.

You're post shows you have not read the plan, He does not throw granny off the cliff, but you on the other hand if you are below 55 most surely does. Ask yourself how does he have the balls to say that tax cuts of 5 trillion dollars,defense increases of 2 trillion are a solution??? if there is a serious problem then why the tax cuts??
Which plan gives the other candidate the lowest tax burden??

I know I`m stating the obvious here but neither one of them knows ANYTHING about foriegn policy / affairs. Mitt only knows about offshore secretive tax havens.

Looking on the bright side, Mitt Romney did manage to pick a sitting member of the worst rated Congress in history to become his running mate suggesting Romney knows he'll lose and needs a scapegoat to wipe the slate clean after the election. Paul Ryan ought to fit that bill for Romney nicely - Ryan's got a lot of his own baggage to deliver.
All the Big Social Liberal Programs put in place by Democrats have served their purpose. It is TIME to end them. Any State that wants to continue any Social Program is free to do so by a vote of the Populous period.
Now giving money to the rich. What convoluted place did you get that idea? People that enjoy better than average sucess in the real world earn it. Most business will pay their employees much more than the minimium wage for reasons I won't go into here, it is just a fact.
When you read that 100 Million people are living on some form of welfare and you think that is normal you need to raise your head and re-asses the situation. BEFORE tons of big social programs were put in place, the people were doing just fine. Sure there were problems but there will always be some problems. Expanding the Nanny State is no solution as the assets are smaller and smaller, and the liaibilities are bigger and bigger. Vote Carefully! The job you save may be your own!!
Wonderful. Romney can now ask Michelle Bachmann to be Secretary of State; Sarah Palin Secretary of Defence; Rufus in charge of the CIA. Oh, and one of the Koch brothers Secretary of the Treasury with the other one governing the IRS. Cain and Perry can be his think tank (chief advisers). Then add the governor of Arizona as a replacement for Holder and Walker as Secretary of Labor. I know a couple of witchdoctors hoping to take over the oversight of the health system. I had hoped by now that we would be done with the Republican sanke oil.

Just ask yourself a simple question: If President Obama is so gung ho for the middle class then on what group of Americans did job losses, foreclosures, high unemployement for 42 months, and giving up finding a job fall on? Is the average middle class American able to pay those $40,000 a plate fund raising prices to meet Obama? What group of Americans do you think those 20 new taxes in Obamacare are going to fall on? Even if you took away the money and wealth of all 1% er's you still be 12-13 trillion short to pay off the debt run up by Obama. My wife was a diehard Obama supporter and even she can see the damage Obama has caused and will vote for Mitt in November.

Hey liberals...........Did you know.........Paul Ryan was elected/reelected in a DEMOCRATIC district in Wisconsin 7 TIMES!!! With Paul Ryan on the ticket--now the economy and unemployment will come to the forefront of the election......Something that Obama and the liberals definitely did NOT want to happen!! After all--Obama definitely does not want his disasterous 3-1/2 year record regarding the economy and unemployment exposed for all voters to see!!

it's still money and it's still being spent.
I am 82 years old and a korean veteran and there is no way I can go to work and pay for medical bills if not for medicare and worked until I was 76 and I paid my fair share of taxes all of those years. All of these politicions get every thing free and don't pay for anything. The should have to pay for their medical, retirement etc just like the rest of us poor slobs. These people that get into goverment might be honest when elected but nothing but a bunch of crooks while in office. The biggest buddy buddy business ever. They all help themselves and the hell with the rest. They all make me want to throw up with the bullcrap they come up with.
